Albright was a beast on the glass against one of the toughest teams in the state, Mount Si. The freshman forward grabbed rebounds in bunches and it seemed each one came while fighting off at least two opponents. He was able to go up over the top of guys and rip down boards, other times he outworked guys for position, and then some were brought in with just brute force as he absorbed blows and held onto the ball. Albright also showed some good touch around the hoop, knocking down some quick jump hooks in the paint and getting tough second chance buckets off offensive boards. He’ll have a fun matchup to watch against Davis this Friday in their opening round State game.

Mount Baker isn’t a team you’ll see at State, but Reardon is an interesting name to get familiar with in the 2027 class. The 6-foot-5 forward had quite the game against Meridian earlier in the playoffs, showing an ability to hit open shots away from the rim and defend the rim at a high level. Reardon was left open on several occasions, both from the free throw line and from 3PT, and cashed in just about every open jumper afforded to him. But what was really impressive were his reactions to shots inside and ability time shots for blocks. He had at least three blocks around the paint and should be a kid who continues to see lots of minutes next season.
The Pullman guard/forward has good size at 6-foot-4 and is a player who can slot into different positions on offense, matchup with different positions on defense, and fill a lot of categories throughout the game. They had a district championship game against Rogers this past Saturday and although it ended with a loss for Pullman, Kwon was able to show his versatility on both ends. One thing he did exceptionally well was rebound the ball. He attacked balls off the glass, showed his athleticism going up high with two hands to rip them down. Offensively, he’s a kid who can get the tough buckets inside, hitting a few tightly contested short hooks, and getting a couple of strong drives through contact to the rim. But he’s also able to make some nice feeds inside and was key in helping get their big man, Austin Hunt Austin Hunt 6’10” | C Pullman | 2024 State WA , going down low with well-placed and timed entry passes. Pullman’s next game comes against the 2A 16-seed, Enumclaw in a loser-out first-round game at Cheney High School Friday evening.
Sonntag had a quiet game until overtime when he came up with a great stretch of plays to help put Puyallup over the top and send them onto the state tournament. He’s a pretty long, athletic kid and he started off the overtime period with a strong rebound off the Curtis miss and immediately looked like he had the energy to make a difference in extra time. Their next defensive possession he closed out on a 3-point attempt and got a couple fingers on the ball for the block. He ended the period with two blocks, getting one more on a shot from the blocks. Sonntag showed some toughness on offense too with a nice step through move inside for a bucket and continued his effort on the glass with a huge put back to go up four late in overtime. He was clearly the difference in the final moments of the game. They’ll play Jackson in a first-round State game on Friday at 8:00 pm.
Treshon Green

The Rogers wing is a really interesting player who can work on the perimeter and around the rim with his length and fluidity at 6-foot-6. He had a number of big boards and finishes in traffic in their win over Pullman, crashing in on the offensive glass and also grabbing defensive boards then pushing the ball up the court. He had a couple of nice drives in from the perimeter and showed good ability and recognition to bring the ball high when splitting smaller defenders. Green also stepped out to hit at least one tough 3 and should be a player to watch at the 2A tournament.
