Who are the Newcomers to the Top 10?
In our previous preseason rankings update, I predicted that Cameron Lomax Cameron Lomax 6’2″ | PG Frisco Heritage | 2026 State TX would have the biggest breakout season in the class, and he certainly lived up to the hype. Lomax is averaging an impressive 24.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 steals per game, shooting at a remarkable 50% from the field and 35% from three. Consistently delivering, Lomax has amassed fifteen 20-point performances, six 30-point performances, and even a 40-point performance. As an offensive mastermind, he rightfully claims the 2nd spot among point guards in the state and 7th overall.
Antoine Almuttar Antoine Almuttar 6’4″ | SF Dallas Parish Episcopal School | 2026 State TX has found his niche at Parish Episcopal, becoming one of the most promising prospects in the class. His consistency and efficiency set him apart, as he displays the ability to be highly productive and fill up the stat sheet across the board. Almuttar’s contributions have played a key role in the turnaround for Parish Episcopal, elevating them from a 17th seed in the previous season to the 6th seed on TAPPS Rankings.
