This is the smallest group (in numbers) in the region, with only six prospects in the rankings. Thus, here we’ll cover the Top 6:
- Oswin Erhunmwunse Oswin Erhunmwunse 6'9" | C Putnam Science Academy | 2025 State #26 Nation New E – Future Friar is one of the country’s top shot blockers. Impressive vertical athlete. Has great defensive instincts + can really move his feet in switches. Improving low post scorer & big time lob threat.
- Badara Diakite Badara Diakite 6'10" | C South Kent School | 2025 State #91 Nation New E – Quick twitch athlete w/ impressive length, does a great job moving his feet on defense. Plays w/ a high motor on offense. Signs of shot making ability. Can dominate around the rim on both ends.
- Jordan McConnell Jordan McConnell 6'11" | C Phillips Exeter | 2025 State New E – Massive presence in the paint is vocal anchor for a defense. Physically strong; uses frame to his advantage as a rebounder. Can score over either shoulder in the post & has good passing instincts.
- Alan Shi Alan Shi 6'10" | C Brookline | 2025 State New E – Fluid athlete w/ a rapidly improving stroke from the perimeter. Motor is always on. Comfortable handling on the perimeter; possesses some playmaking skill. Capable of playing inside or on the perimeter.
- Zack Scherler Zack Scherler 6'11" | C Vermont Academy | 2025 State New E – Lean big man has great positional size + length. Threat at the rim in screen-and-roll situations. Does a great job rim running in transition. Active defender that can protect the rim & make plays in passing lanes.
- Ian Randall Ian Randall 7'0" | C Hotchkiss School | 2025 State New E – Big lefty has soft touch out to 15′. Playmaker out of the high post w/ great vision as a passer. High IQ off the ball; makes smart cuts. Does a good job protecting the rim as last line of defense.
Other notes on the best Centers in New England’s class of 2025:
Erhunmwunse is the top ranked C in Connecticut, while McConnell holds the honor in New Hampshire.
Shi takes the crown in Massachusetts and Scherler comes in at #1 in Vermont.
Overall, as mentioned before, 6 prospects at the Center position made it into our most recent rankings update.
