As we do throughout the week let’s dive into a full recap of the night’s action. Here is everything you need to know from the top games in Indiana on Tuesday night.
It shouldn’t be shocking that the Westfield and Mt. Vernon (Fortville) game was played to a very low score. Both teams are methodical offensively and very sound defensively. However, this one was still lower scoring than anyone could have imagined. It was tied 6-6 after one quarter and the Marauders took a 19-12 lead into the locker room at the half. Then, Westfield began the second half on a 9-0 run to climb on top, but Mt. Vernon responded and led 28-25 after three quarters. 6’8″ senior forward Nic Book Nic Book 6'8" | PF Westfield | 2024 State IN took over down the stretch scoring 10 of his game-high 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Shamrocks came away with a 41-30 victory. Book also had 5 assists. Julien Smith Julien Smith 5'10" | PG Mount Vernon (Fortville) | 2026 State IN and Tanner Teschendorf Tanner Teschendorf 6'2" | PG Mount Vernon (Fortville) | 2025 State IN each scored 10 points in the loss for the Marauders.
Tucker Day Tucker Day 6'7" | C Canterbury | 2024 State IN made his return to the hardwood on Tuesday night and ended up with the game-winning tip-in as Canterbury defeated Leo 67-65. The 6’7″ senior forward finished with 23 points while senior guard Devon Lewis Devon Lewis 5'10" | PG Canterbury | 2024 State IN added 16 points. Recent Grand Valley State commit Jackson McGee Jackson McGee 6'3" | PG Leo | 2024 State IN scored 35 points in the loss for the Lions.
Evansville Harrison defeated Evansville Mater Dei 79-49 on the back of 24 points from Malachi McNair Malachi McNair 6'6" | C Evansville Harrison | 2024 State IN . Jay Summit added 18 points while Shane Sims had 15 points and Brooks Thomas Brooks Thomas 6'7" | C Evansville Harrison | 2025 State IN chipped in 12 points. Zane Norman scored 18 points and Tanner Halbig finished with 15 for Mater Dei.
Class 2A #3 Providence beat Class 2A #7 Southwestern (Hanover) 55-42 with senior guard Noah Lovan Noah Lovan 6'3" | PG Providence | 2024 State IN leading the way scoring 17 points. Jamison Miller scored 13 points in the loss for the Rebels.
Terre Haute North rolled to an 83-49 win over South Vermillion. Cam Fennell had 15 points, Jack Halls Jack Halls 6'8" | PF Terre Haute North | 2024 State IN and Bryce Renn Bryce Renn 6'10" | PF Terre Haute North | 2025 State IN added 14 points, Kavish Reddy Kavish Reddy 6'3" | SG Terre Haute North Vigo | 2024 State IN chipped in 12 points and Gavin Woelfle Gavin Woelfle 5'9" | PG Terre Haute North | 2026 IN rounded out a balanced affair with 11 points.
Damien King Damien King 6'4" | SF Anderson | 2025 State IN finished with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Anderson Indians past Pendleton Heights 53-50 in the first round of the Madison County Tournament. Christian Townsend added 15 points for Anderson. Meanwhile, recent Marian commit Josiah Gustin Josiah Gustin 6'7" | PF Pendleton Heights | 2024 State IN finished with 16 points and 4 assists for Pendleton Heights.
It took three overtimes, but Avon squeaked passed Brownsburg 57-56 to advance to the semifinals of the Hendricks County Tournament. Rohan Pearson hit the game-winning runner while driving down the right lane line with about three seconds to play in the third overtime period.
