Continue ReadingThe Hardwood Invite took place over the holiday season down in Portland, Oregon hosting teams from five states across the country. Teams from Washington, Oregon, Florida, Arizona, and Colorado all made their way to Parkrose High School to compete against some highly competitive teams, and these next players were some of the most promising underclassmen, not mentioned in the other articles so far, who took the floor.
Todd Holmes | 2026 | Southridge (FL) | 4.3 pts 2 reb
Holmes is a big body who really showed up against Skyview in their final game, blocking shots and playing extremely physical in the paint. Southridge has a lot of quick guards and Holmes provided a good presence near the rim to balance them out on both sides of the floor.
Rigdhen Khyungra | 2027 | La Salle (OR) | 11.5 pts 2 reb 1.5 stl
One of the most impressive freshmen at the event, Khyungra scored 15+ points twice at the invite and showed a really expansive package finishing in the paint and at the rim. He also faired well from outside, dropping in 5-12 3PT shots (41.7%). He’s a quick guard who was effective offensively with speed and quickness but also played some harassing defense on opposing guards.
Carter Basquez | 2026 | Smoky Hill (CO) | 10.3 pts 4.3 reb 3 stl
The Smoky Hill guard already has a D-I offer and showed some big glimpses of what his 6-foot-6 frame can do from all over the court. In his best game, he dropped 19 points 4 rebounds 3 assists and 4 steals, helping Smoky Hill end the tournament on a high note with a win over South Medford. In all, he recorded 2+ steals in each game and shot 60% from the field (12-20 FG).
Adrian Rivera Adrian Rivera 5'6" | CG Prosser | 2026 WA | 2026 | Prosser (WA) | 0.5 pts 1.5 reb 0.5 ast
Rivera didn’t accumulate much stat-wise but was a high-energy player coming in off the bench and showed some fight on both ends of the court. He’s just 5-foot-6 but provided excellent ballhandling when on the floor. He’s super quick, good under pressure, plays in control, and utilized ball fakes and pivots well to create passing and driving lanes.
Jack Brauckmiller Jack Brauckmiller 6'6" | PF Canby | 2027 State OR | 2027 | Canby (OR) | 10.5 pts 5.3 reb 1.5 stl
Brauckmiller is still a pretty raw player but showed a ton of potential during the invite and had a standout game against 4A contender Davis, racking up 22 points 10 rebounds and shooting an efficient 9-11 from the field. He’s already got a strong frame and good motor. Once he starts to refine some of those post moves and interior finishing he should be a name to know down in Oregon.
Dash Lamebull-Ingram Dash Lamebull-Ingram 5'7" | PG Eastside Catholic | 2026 State WA | 2026 | Eastside Catholic (WA) | 1.3 pts 1.7 ast 1.3 reb
The Eastside Catholic point guard is a lightning-quick player who didn’t stand out in the scorebook but was able to do a little bit of everything out there using his speed, anticipation, and IQ to affect the game. He’s a solid option off the bench for a team that has a lot of good guards and should be a name to watch who could take off next season.
Carter Mills Carter Mills 6'0" | CG South Medford | 2027 State OR | 2027 | South Medford (OR) | 3.3 pts 0.5 reb 0.5 stl
Mills looks like a quality shooter already and found the rhythm against Southridge, going 3-4 from downtown and contributing 10 points in the game. He can handle the ball a bit and should get better at creating looks off the dribble as he already looks like a decently strong guard.
Dalin Cortes Dalin Cortes 5'7" | PG Prosser | 2026 State WA | 2026 | Prosser (WA) | 4 pts 2 reb 1.5 ast
Another diminutive guard for Prosser, Cortes played key minutes for the Mustangs and has the stop-and-go ability with the ball to evade pressure, soften defenses, and be a reliable ballhandler. He put up a nice game against Southridge with 8 points 4 rebounds and 2 assists, showing he can nail some mid-range jumpers off the dribble.
Jed Johnson Jed Johnson 6'4" | PF South Medford | 2026 State OR | 2026 | South Medford (OR) | 6.3 pts 3.3 reb
The 6-foot-5 sophomore showed a good mix of offensive ability, dropping in a 3-pointer in three of their games while also putting in some nice moves from the post. He’s strong, shows some good recognition from the blocks, and was third on the team in scoring at the invite.
Yeabsera Aklog Yeabsera Aklog 6'10" | PF Eastside Catholic | 2026 State WA | 2026 | Eastside Catholic (WA) | 5.3 pts 4.3 reb
The promising big man is hard to miss out there at 6-foot-10 and the Crusaders aren’t shy of trying to feed him in the post. They put him to work against Davis and while he missed a few shots early on, he figured out how to crack the defense with some solid, early positioning and power dribbles on his way to 10 points 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. He’s a kid who continues to get better physically and showed some above-the-rim play at the invite.
Kodi Greene Kodi Greene 6'6" | PF Eastside Catholic | 2026 CA-S | 2026 | Eastside Catholic (WA) | 7 pts 2.3 reb
Another promising young big man for Eastside Catholic, Greene played a key role in spots against Roosevelt for the tournament championship. He has some quick feet and showed some good poise to fight through contact at the rim. He finished the tourney fifth on his team in scoring and was a reliable 11-15 from 2PT at the invite.
