South Medford was completely balanced this year but if there was one guy to select for a league player of the year candidate, it would be Johnson. The senior led the team in both scoring and rebounding and was consistently depended upon all season long. Long and lanky, he played bigger than his size and converted high-percentage shots while shooting free throws at a 80+ percentage clip as well.
The 6-foot-5 senior showed a good mix of offensive ability, dropping in a 3-pointer in three of their games while also putting in some nice moves from the post. He’s strong, shows some good recognition from the blocks, and lead his team in scoring. (RM)
