Several players have opened the season with extremely hot starts, putting up major numbers in a variety of categories. Here's a look at some of the statistical standouts on the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1330093' first='Elijah' last='Redic'] - Not only is the senior guard averaging 20.8ppg, he's saved some of his best performances for Sunrise Mountains biggest wins, including a 23 point effort over Green Valley.

[player_tooltip player_id='1373152' first='Elijah' last='Coleman'] - Unofficially Coleman has the highest apg average that I can remember. It's not just remarkable that his 9 assist per game is leading the state, but also the fact that he's doing it while changing his playstyle from a shoot, to pass first PG.

[player_tooltip player_id='1665140' first='Zaccarrion' last='Jackson'] - Just over 4 assist per game may not seem overwhelming, but add in all the other things the guard does for Mojave, including what he does on the defensive end, and you can see why the numbers are so impressive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1679860' first='Jiro' last='Basabas'] - The shifty PG has always been a dime dropper, however his nearly 3 to 1 assist to turnover ratio is remarkable considering how often he has the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='1057885' first='Maximus' last='Romero'] - Romero is shooting 41% from the three point line, while making 32 total threes on the year. This is impressive, however made more interesting by the fact that he's only attempted 13 2 point field goals all season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633659' first='Nicholas' last='Madsen'] - Madsen is averaging almost 2 blocks per game, which may not seem like a lot, until you factor in that the GV Christian rim protector is a 6'2 guard. To put that in prospective he's averaging the same amount of blocks as 6'8 Rancho Center [player_tooltip player_id='986966' first='R'zha' last='Whittle'].

[player_tooltip player_id='1253136' first='Tayshaun' last='Jackson'] - "Gouda" leads the state in Free Throws attempted. When you factor in the fact that he stands at just under 5'8 it's pretty remarkable that he's gotten to the line 85 times.

[player_tooltip player_id='986798' first='Alijah' last='Adem'] - Speaking of Free Throws, Adem has only missed 5 all year, a remarkable feat for a player that plays with the ball in his hands as much as he does. he currently leads the state in Free Throw percentage, shooting 90% from the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253131' first='Colton' last='Knoll'] - Red Rock Academy doesn't have official stats, however unofficially Knoll may lead the country in charges taken. The defensive stalwart routinely has games where he takes 3 or 4 charges, which would easily put him ahead of the state's current leader, [player_tooltip player_id='1668633' first='Jahmarrick' last='Davenport'] of Las Vegas.
