Good weekend overall for Max. He played well in several areas, but has become one of the most consistent shooters in the state. He has a fluid release, free from any hitch and he showed that he can be accurate in both catch and shoot action and off the bounce.

The junior sharpshooter already came in shooting 40% from behind the arc, he bettered that on this night. Romero seemed to have a stretch where he was going shot for shot with Kambala. His ability to hit threes early helped keep the Aggies attached as he made three huge second half three pointers for the team.

Romero is the perfect embodiment of the Aggies. A versitle skilled offensive player, Romero has been effective scoring, and distributing. He’s the second leading scorer on a team that’s 14-1, and looking to make noise in 5A. Perhaps the best example of his versatility was his 24 point, 4 rebound, 5 assist, 2 steal performance against Rancho to start the season.

Romero has had a terrific season for the Aggies, known as a quiet leader, his play has done the talking with his nearly 14 points per game. Romero is shooting it well, knocking down over 40% of his threes, and if his play in practice was any indication, he looks like he fits comfortably in a leadership role.

26↑16 I saw Max last this Fall during the Chosen Few Labor Day Tournament. He was good then, but has been even better since the season started. The PG has been shooting the ball lights out knocking down over 50% of his threes on the season. His overall play and the impact that it has had on a success of the team are reasons enough to see him rise.
