26 points – (9-13 FG) (8-9 FT) – 11 rebounds
Rapid City Christian didn’t have an answer for the 6’10 Squires. They had to bring extra bodies at Squires to slow him down some. An extremely efficient all-around game. He was getting close to the hoop time after time, scoring over more than one defender at a time. Ran the floor quick and hard.

Laue the #2 2025 in the state, produced a double-double and him and Hanson were battling. Showed great range as a rebounder.
20 points (9-22 FG) – 9 rebounds – 3 blocks – 3 steals
Hanson is really starting to play mean and I love it. He’s bringing his body at people, creating contact, and being aggressive as a scorer and shooter. 22 shots in the game from your best player is what you want. 3 blocks and 3 steals is icing on the cake.
Highlights
21 points (10-17 FG) (1-2 3FG) – 6 rebounds – 2 assists – 1 block
This was the best and most aggressive I’ve seen Brady. He was in attack-mode, going straight at the hoop to finish with athleticism. Hit one three. He was the difference-maker in the game, and for Viborg-Hurley to get the huge win over Castlewood. If he doesn’t show up like this, they most likely lose the game.

Consistent scorer and performer. Can score in bunches with his ability to hit high-level-of-difficulty shots. Had a 38-point performance, recently.
22 points (8-12 FG) (6-9 3FG) – 5 assists – 0 turnovers
Hit 6 threes, which is obviously high-level. Zero turnovers is also crucial. Played a clean game and shot the lights-out. A key factor in Sioux Valley knocking off Rapid City Christian.

19 points (8-14 FG) (1-3 3FG) – 9 rebounds – 2 steals – 1 block
Really like Uhlir and I’m pretty high on him. 6’6 size with great length and skill combination. Plays tougher than what his frame tells you. Can play inside and out. Has good defensive feet and can move.
24 points (7-15 FG) (9-13 FT)
With Benson Kieffer Benson Kieffer 5’10” | PG Rapid City Christian | 2025 State SD sitting out with a broken foot, Simon needed to step up as a scorer. He did just that, scoring 24 points. Showed assertiveness and confidence. Hit some difficult shots and was a frequent visitor to the foul line.
9 points (4-8 FG) (1-2 3FG) – 3 rebounds
I hadn’t really locked-in on Keszler until the Hanson Classic. Sometimes in scouting you have to just specifically watch one player throughout a game for a good deal of time to really get a feel for their game and how they think defensively.
He’s not a big guard, but he’s smart with a sound basketball IQ. He kind of has an average frame, but he’s quick, explosive, and has skills. Great court vision and understanding of spacing. Runs the floor at a high IQ. Knows where to run to. Accurate passer that can show some skills and fanciness. Can’t be guarded one way because he can stroke the ball from three with a smooth shot, and has handles and acceleration to get by the defender. Not much wasted movement in his offensive game and approach. Count me in as a fan.

Carlson was impressive to me, with his 6’4 length and ability to run the floor from the wing. Finished well on his opportunities at the hoop. I think his stock goes up a good amount in the next update.
10 points (5-12 FG) – 4 rebounds – 1 block
Jensen had a solid game. He played near the hoop a lot and did most of his damage closer to the hoop. Long and an above average leaper.
23 points (9-19 FG) (1-3 3FG – 5 assists – 3 steals
Recently scored 1,000 career points, and he added to that total in this game, scoring 23. Very tough to contain off the dribble with a step on the defender. Very skilled prospect and crafty around the rim.

Thompson was slow to start in the scoring department, but finished with 18 points thanks to a big 3rd quarter scoring the ball. A lefty that is very comfortable shooting the three.

One of the premier volume three-point shooters in the state. Scoring 20.5 ppg. and has a ridiculously quick release from three and can get his shot up without a problem. Doesn’t need much space. Is also a high-level passer and makes plays that way.
Highlights
6 points (2-7 FG) – 7 rebounds
Only 6 points, but wanted to give him a shoutout because he’s only a Freshman and he was in the starting lineup for St. Thomas More and played nearly 29 minutes. He played like he belongs and seemed like he wasn’t afraid of the extra attention on the game. Saw him pull a transition three, so he’s not afraid to be a playmaker and knows he has a good future in basketball.
8 points – 10 rebounds – 2 steals – 2 blocks
Wilkinson had an impact, with nearly a double-double in only 17:29 minutes of playing time. The Sophomore came off the bench. He’s got a very big and thick frame at 6’8. He’ll be with SD Identity in the 2024 offseason.

Averaging 17.4 ppg. coming into the game, Slaba impressed as a dynamic and explosive scorer in Hanson’s 66-64 win over Clark/Willow Lake. Can get off the ground and sky up on his jumpers. Liked to push the pace and play fast with the ball, then stop on a dime and look for his jump-shot. He was living in the mid-range area.
11 points (2-6 3FG) – 6 rebounds – 2 assists – 1 block – 2 steals
Wilber has decent size and can play inside, showing some physicality, and also is a threat from range. Plays hard and is not afraid of contact. Attacks the ball in the air.

One of the top overall scorers at the Hanson Classic and nailed 7 threes at 50%. A clear offensive threat and deserving to be added to the 2024 rankings in the next update.
15 points – 13 rebounds – 4 assists
13 rebounds for a guard is impressive. Plays with a quickness and a non-stop motor.
21 points (8-15 FG) – 11 rebounds – 2 blocks
Mitchell redeemed himself in a big way at the Corn Palace after scoring two points vs Howard at the Hoop City Classic. He showed his rare athleticism in this game, by skying up for rebounds in traffic. He took advantage of a small Ipswich lineup.
14 points (4-9 FG) – 10 rebounds – 4 assists – 5 blocks – 1 steal
Kolt continues to raise his stock in my eyes. He looked really good in the matchup and win over Winner and did well with Hammerbeck. Long with a great motor. Underrated passer. Rim-protector with 5 blocks in the game. Runs really well and is a guy that doesn’t stop moving.
