The CU commit did a great job putting the opposing defense on their heels, active faciliating when provided a passing lane. Providing excellent pace off the initial defensive rebound, the guard gets out quickly to send outlet passes or take it coast to coast. He was particulary selfless in this matchup, showing notable skill on one-handed skip passes from one side of the halfcourt to the other. Defensively, Crawford did well swatting away shots at the rim, although help side was the bulk of his defensive possessions as nobody wants to attack him downhill.
The box score efficiency will be fun to see when it arrives, it seemed like Spann could not miss in this matchup. Active attempting and hitting threes from the jump, the senior showed deep range on such attempts off the catch. Those attempts pulled the defense out for closeouts, where his bread and butter of drives could be unlocked to a greater volume. He possesses excellent touch while attacking the rim, scoring through floaters or drawing contact at the rim.
The tall wing shot the ball efficiently, rarely forcing three point attempts. Also active initiating ball screens for fellow ball handlers, he always pulls out tight defense while popping out. A pleasant area of impact came from his quick passing instincts, active converting good looks into great ones at the rim for cutting teammates.
Gonzales was excellent moving the ball and handling the rock in traffic. He is another steady facilitator, enhancing the shotmakers on this roster.
Highlands Ranch
West will be an up and coming guard for the coming years due to his aggression attacking the rim and valuable defensive skill set. Drawing at least three fouls through this matchup, he is relentless attacking the rim off the bounce or from a putback. West’s passing vision was on display, hitting rollers on time.
An assertive ball handler, Bakken was fearless attacking the rim against ThunderRidge’s array of physically imposing defenders. Fairly strong versus contact, he played a valuable role drawing in help defense for passes.
Olin Anderson
Olin Anderson
Anderson’s IQ shined most in this matchup, making quick decisions on either end of the floor. Drawing charges versus opposing drives, the guard has no trouble taking contact. He understands the offensive flow, effective initiating offense, hitting cutters through tight windows. While attacking the rim, Anderson could use self-created combo moves to score floaters past an incoming contest.

Tereick consistently found opportunities to attack the rim, taking on a large portion of ball handling duties through this matchup. Comfortable facilitating with his back to the basket, the guard can play big on-ball if needed.
