Continue ReadingThe future of St. Pius basketball looks to be in good hands with their 2026 class coming up and Tobias Brinkley Tobias Brinkley 6’6″ | CG St. Pius X | 2026 State GA has garnered some serious buzz through the first half of the season. Brinkley is a 6’6 guard with a smooth handle and a sweet stroke from beyond the arc. There’s some finesse to his game which pairs nicely with his length and makes for some savvy finishing ability. Between Brinkley’s high ceiling and a great setup at St. Pius, I think you can expect to hear his name a lot in the future. Cincinnati was the first to offer him in early December.
The move from Woodward to Lovett has proven beneficial for Kingston Whitty Kingston Whitty 6’1″ | PG Lovett | 2026 State GA as he’s been a focal point of their offense this year. Whitty is the kind of guy that can create his own look and knock it down, a great shooter off the bounce. Whitty is also a capable facilitator and has quickly developed a chemistry with freshman Cameron Cannon Cameron Cannon 5’10” | PG Lovett | 2027 State GA . The young backcourt duo will be dangerous for years to come. Whitty has put up some big numbers this year, 29 points at Holiday Hoopsgiving and then 30 a few weeks ago at the HoopAtlanta Holiday Classic. If there’s one way to raise your stock, it’s performing on the big stages and Whitty is doing exactly that. He’s up to #20 in our rankings.
Highlights
This year’s Newton squad is deep and talented per usual but Kevin White Kevin White 5’8″ | PG Gainesville | 2026 State GA has carved out a significant role in the backcourt and he’s handled himself like a vet when on the court. White is a steady floor general that understands his role as a facilitator and takes advantage of his scoring opportunities. He may be undersized but he’s a pesky defender and we’ve seen him hold his own against some of the best guards in the state. White currently sits at #41 on our board and will continue to rise if he keeps playing at a high level.
While Mt. Pisgah is still in the early stages of the post-Micah Tucker rebuild, sophomore Jackson Williams Jackson Williams 6’4″ | SF Mt. Pisgah | 2026 State GA has given the community something to be excited about. Williams has broken onto the scene this year, averaging 14.4 PPG and emerging as a primary scoring option for Pisgah. Williams is a big, athletic guard with a polished offensive arsenal. He can play any of the three spots on the perimeter and competes hard on both ends of the floor. Expect Jackson Williams Jackson Williams 6’4″ | SF Mt. Pisgah | 2026 State GA to be the workhorse for Mt. Pisgah moving forward as O’neill Connelly will likely miss the rest of the season.
Bradwell Institute is making some serious noise down in Hinesville, off to a 14-0 start, and sophomore Christopher Perry Christopher Perry 6’6″ | SF Bradwell Institute | 2026 State GA has been a huge part of their success. The 6’7 lefty pairs next-level athleticism with a deadly stroke from beyond the arc. He provides a lot of versatility on the defensive end and does a great job of contesting finishes near the rim. Perry has one of the highest ceilings in this class and he’s one that colleges should make an effort to see this spring and summer.
