Phoenix Gill Phoenix Gill 6'3" | SG St. Ignatius | 2025 State #72 Nation IL (St. Ignatius)
Current Ranking: #1
Gill narrowly edged out a large group of contenders for the top overall spot in the junior class. What makes Gill the top choice? He is such a smooth two guard that has gradually gotten better throughout his career. Gill can create off the bounce both for drives and rising up over opponents for mid-range jumpers. Best as a mid-range shooter with flashes from three. Has a great frame with long arms and continues to add strength. Physically he is starting to look like his dad. Defensively he has the chance to be a plus defender guarding either backcourt spot.
Bryce Heard Bryce Heard 6'6" | SG Homewood Flossmoor | 2025 State #86 Nation IL (Homewood Flossmoor)
Current Ranking: #2
Heard made major news by coming back to Illinois after spending his sophomore campaign in Florida at IMG. The high-major wing has been a big reason for HF having such a fantastic season. Heard has a good scoring repertoire including potential as a shooter from three. His defense, passing, and rebounding from his wing position have all improved over the last year.
Al Brooks Al Brooks 6'6" | SF Hansberry | 2025 State #239 Nation IL Jr (Hansberry)
Current Ranking: #3
Brooks Jr is one of the most productive players in the state. The 6’6” wing stuffs the stat sheet in every single game that he plays in. High-level athlete that contributes across the board. Dynamic transition player and slasher. The jumper has been the question, but we have seen growth this season in that area both from a percentage and mechanics standpoint. Passes well for a wing, quick to the glass on both ends, and impacts defensively with blocks and steals. He answered a lot of questions over the holidays doing what he does against a higher level of competition.
Antonio Munoz Antonio Munoz 6'6" | SF Whitney Young | 2025 State #194 Nation IL (Whitney Young)
Current Ranking: #5
Munoz is one of the best athletes in the state. He shows that off at least once a game with a big dunk. His ability to impact on both ends is what makes him so intriguing at the next level. Can check multiple spots on the perimeter and even guard some fours on occasion. Offensively he is a dynamic transition athlete, slasher, and shows flashes as a shooter.
Terrence Smith Terrence Smith 6'5" | SF West Aurora | 2025 State #299 Nation IL (West Aurora)
Current Ranking: #10
Smith is a two sport star that could play at the D1 level in either football or basketball. He is a freakshow athlete with his size, strength, and athleticism. Quick twitched athleticism is off the charts. Love how he defends all over the floor with his airplane like wingspan. At his best in the open floor, but can also put it on the deck in the half court. Really made strides as a shooter over the last three years to where he is now above average from distance.
Matthew Zobrist Matthew Zobrist 6'5" | SG Metamora | 2025 State IL (Metamora)
Current Ranking: #11
Zobrist made a huge leap on this list. He has gained strength, height, and athleticism over the last year. The Metamora star is a lights out three point shooter especially off the catch. One of the best in the class with his sweet lefty stroke. Can attack close outs and is an adept passer getting others involved. Very tough wing defender as well.
Ian Miletic Ian Miletic 6'5" | SF Rolling Meadows | 2025 State IL (Rolling Meadows)
Current Ranking: #12
Miletic is a point-forward that can play on the ball or at the three spot. Big time passer that makes excellent reads with the ball in his hands. This season for Rolling Meadows he has taken on more of a scoring role which he has excelled at. Plus shooter with a clean stroke from three as we have seen him several times absolutely light it up from distance. Good athlete that handles it well land overall has a great feel for the game.
