1K Club – Celebrating the Newest 1,000 Point Scorers Pt. 2

With it being such an achievement to accomplish, we decided to take a look at some of the newest members of the club this year. He's lightning quick in open space and really knows how to get to his spots.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1158774' first='Carson' last='Daniel']</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Daniel twins are some of the most successful team players to ever grace the state, and Carson has made his own individual mark this year by hitting 1,000 points. He's an elite scorer, playmaker and defender that should have a bright future at Catawba.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1809463' first='Joe' last='Rhyne']</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rhyne is an elite shooter who has benefitted from the three point line in getting his milestone, with 288 out of 368 career field goals being from behind the arc. He continues to operate as a perimeter threat and secondary creator as he looks to help his Gaston Christian team to a state title.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1694957' first='Dane' last='Cassada']</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cassada is a third year sophomore who has eclipsed the millennium mark this season as a 6'3 point guard who has creation skills rivaling his scoring ability. He's quickly becoming an outstanding player, and should begin to receive regional attention as he heads into the grassroots season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1409584' first='Jacari' last='Brim']</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brim is a junior who deserves more interest out of the Triad area, especially as he's both led his West Forsyth team to a successful start as well as hitting the 1K milestone. He is a name starting to get looks from D1 coaches, and is a really dynamic combo guard to monitor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='2330835' first='Will' last='Givens'] - West Rowan</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The senior from West Rowan is the newest member of the 1,000 point club, achieving the mark just this week against South Rowan. He's a guard that deserves a next level opportunity somewhere after excelling with the Falcons as well as Anthony Morrow Elite on the grassroots scene.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Tanner DeLattre - South Davidson</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The senior from South Davidson was a preseason all-conference pick here at PH, and has proved us right with some good stat lines all season long in the Central Carolina conference. His 1,000 points were achieved right before the new year, and he's the third Davidson County player to reach the mark this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1076352' first='Maurio' last='Hanson']</h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The dangerous lefty post scorer recently eclipsed the mark this season at Chambers as he continues to be a terror for opposing frontcourts to handle. He's a very capable post scorer who has developed his perimeter shot and makes defenses guard him all over the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
