Heading into their sophomore year, this list is still new and while we did our best we know things will change a lot as players continue to grow and develop moving forward.
Here’s a look at the top 5 power forwards and centers in the rankings.
5) Frank Siaca-Bey Frank Siaca-Bey 6'8" | C Fairfax Christian | 2026 State VA | 6’8”.C | Fairfax Christian (#19 Overall)
Siaca-Bey transferred to Fairfax Christian from Georgetown Prep and reclassified to the 2026 class, making him one of the top long term prospects in the class and one the could move up quite a bit as he see how he contributes to this group. At 6’8” he’s one of the biggest and strongest post players you’ll see at his age, and he’s gradually developed his skillset over the last few years and is trending in the right direction. He’s a paint clogger who can protect the rim and boxes out well to clear out space and rebound on both ends of the floor, he has good touch with both hands around the rim, he seals well and has good moves in the post and he’s improving his touch out past the elbows as well.
4) Ripp Kodi Ripp Kodi 6'5" | PF Bishop Ireton | 2026 State VA | 6’6” PF | Bishop Ireton (#17 Overall)
Kodi is one of the most intriguing long term prospects in this class, but he’s also one of the hardest to evaluate at this point because his development could take him in different ways moving forward. The 6’6” forward is long and rangy and he’s mobile enough to get up and down the floor and guard players on the perimeter, meaning if he continues to develop his ball skills we could see him playing on the wing more later in his career. He’s a versatile defender who can protect the rim and challenge shots on the perimeter, he has good touch out to the perimeter and he has tons of upside moving forward.
3) Evan Brown Evan Brown 6'7" | PF Bishop Ireton | 2026 State VA | 6’7” C | Bishop Ireton (#14 Overall)
Brown played a big role in Highland’s run to the VISAA D2 State Championship last season, and now he joins an Ireton group that is chock full of young talent in the front court and will be a surprise player in the WCAC this year. While his best basketball is still ahead of him, Brown makes a positive impact on both ends of the floor and he’s a blue collar competitive type of big man who shows flashes of potential on the offensive end that will only improve with time. He’s always around the basketball as a rebounder and a defender who will challenge shots fearlessly at the rim, he has good touch both around the rim and out past the elbows and he doesn’t need to have the ball in his hands to make a positive impact on the game.
2) Connor Lyons Connor Lyons 6'7" | PF St. Anne's-Belfield | 2026 State VA | 6’7” PF | St. Anne’s Belfield (#7 Overall)
Lyons is the most new age of the guys on this list, as he embodies the new school stretch four man who opens the floor for his talented guards and wings to put it on the deck and make plays with tons of spacing on the floor. At 6’7” and likely still growing, he has a frame that should fill out that will allow him to bang in the post defensively more moving forward, but he has an advanced skillset offensively that already makes him an impressive prospect moving forward. He’s a lights out shooter from deep who is showing more and more confidence with every time we watch him play, he has long arms to rebound and contest shots and he has a good IQ as to where to move to get open to give his guards the best chance to make plays.
1) Latrell Allmond Latrell Allmond 6'8" | C John Marshall | 2026 State VA | 6’8” PF | John Marshall (#2 Overall)
Allmond already has a very impressive resume and is building on that early in his sophomore season with some big time showings against nationally renowned programs and is asserting himself as one of the top bigs in the country on a nationally ranked team at John Marshall. He’s a man amongst boys and was even as a freshman, as his strength and power in the post coupled with his athletic finishing ability makes him a load to deal with when he’s in the paint. He’s able to outmuscle players when attacking the glass or when he catches it in the post, he finishes with authority above the rim and he doesn’t back down from physical play, actually seeming to enjoy that aspect of the game. He’s starting to show improvements in his perimeter play with the ability to make jumpers from deep and put it on the deck in face ups, which will take his game to another level despite being so dominant already.
