Ace finished with 19 points and 4 threes on Wednesday afternoon in Alta’s (UT) win over Arbor View (NV) 64-50. Reiser continued his strong showing this week as he moved the ball efficiently on offense, rarely turned it over, and spaced the floor effectively. He also is able to attack the basket confidently with either hand, using his quick first step to get into the paint to create offense either for himself or for others.
Jaxon continued his all-around dominant week with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 4 threes on Wednesday afternoon in Alta’s (UT) win over Arbor View (NV) 64-50. Johnson was superb in this one as he contributed all over the court for the Hawks and came out on top in what was a tough matchup with Arbor View forward Pharaoh Compton. Two aspects of Johnson’s game that have stuck out this week have been his smooth 3 point shooting stroke and his ability to effectively pass out of and over double teams.
Eric finished with a superb line of 20 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and three 3’s on Wednesday afternoon in Corona Centennial’s (CA) win over Sagemont Prep (FL) 83-60. Freeny has been a tremendously steady presence for Corona Centennial of late and that continued today as he was the focal point for their offense, distributed the ball very well, scored effectively at multiple levels, and hit the glass hard.
Carter broke out of a mini slump in the 2nd half today with 12 points en route to finishing with 19 points in Corona Centennial’s (CA) win over Sagemont Prep (FL) 83-60. Bryant has also been very good defensively this week as he’s been a major factor both on the glass and protecting the rim for the Huskies. He scored the ball particularly well on the interior in this one as he was extremely effective in transition, finishing with either hand and above the rim.
CJ Richardson
CJ Richardson
CJ finished with 16 points and 4 3’s on Wednesday afternoon in Corona Centennial’s (CA) win over Sagemont Prep (FL) 83-60. Richardson provided a tremendous spark off the bench in this one for the Huskies as he attacked the basket with very productive aggression, drawing fouls and finishing at the bucket. He also is a very valuable floor spacer for Centennial and showed it tonight with his 4 catch and shoot threes.
Mateen finished with 17 points and 3 threes in Weston Ranch’s (CA) win over West Ranch (CA) 74-60. Rafiq provides a very steady presence for the Grizzlies at point guard, rarely turns the ball over, and always knows what space to fill on offense. He is also one of the best shooters in the history of California high school basketball and added 3 threes to his total tonight giving him 18 total for the Tarkanian Classic across 3 games.
Douglas finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds in what was another strong performance for the big man in St. Pius x Matthias’s (CA) win over St. Augustine (CA) 62-50. Langford again cleaned up miss after miss on the glass and was able to fight through contact to gain valuable position on the interior, finish chances around the basket, and protect the rim.
Kaden was almost unstoppable on Wednesday night in Desert Mountain’s (AZ) 78-65 win over The Branson School (CA) as he finished with 43 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 threes. House relentlessly attacked the basket in this one as he was constantly in the paint finding different ways to finish layup and floater chances through and around any opposition. He is certainly one of the best guards in his class in the country and is showing why this week — through 3 games in the Tarkanian Classic he is averaging 34.6 points.
Semetri (“TT”) continued his hot scoring streak on Wednesday night as he finished with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in The Branson School’s (CA) tough 78-65 loss to Desert Mountain (AZ). Carr was particularly effective off of the bounce today and was able to repeatedly get to his spot in the mid range to elevate over whoever was guarding him.
