Davidson turned some heads at the Tip-Off Classic. He was a fast paced player, both with and without the ball in his hands. Davidson was at his best in the open floor making plays at the rim. He showed off some impressive straight line speed beating the defense down the floor on multiple occassions.

Funches was another Everett player that caught my eye. He was yet another fast paced player that wanted, and did, get into the open floor. Funches was able to outrun the defense and make plays in transition. Just a sophomore, it could be fun to watch this athletic playmaker develop his game.
Carswell stood out in one of the most exciting games of the day. He was solid in an overtime loss to Adrian. Carswell is a true multi level scorer that has to be accounted for all over the floor. He’s a versatile guard that can play on or off the ball and provided some positional height and strength mismatches on Saturday.
This one feels obvious. Saying Elam was as good as advertised wouldn’t be accurate. He was better. Elam consistently created space for his shot by moving defenders with his ball handling. He’s an excellent shooter and powerful on the drive. I was very impressed with his work in, and his jumper from, the mid range.

Parker was sort of a smaller power forward if I was forced to give him a title. But the best part of his game was that he filled many different titles. He was a lights out scorer that earned a ton of high percentage looks at the rim. Parker played with a ton of energy and really attacked the glass. He was controlled on offense with good footwork, often going up controlled off 2 feet.
Marlan probably hasn’t gotten the publicity that he and his game have deserved. The young man can absolutely fill it up from beyond the arc. He didn’t need much space at all on Saturday to get his shot up comfortably. Marlan was very steady with the ball in his hands against Adrian and showed that he can be depended on to make the right decisions with the ball.
