This must be statement #5365763 for Vanlaningham. The young man has been getting the job done at a high level for years now and will be a steal at the next level. He didn’t just score in a 67-60 win against Harper Creek, but he did it in an incredibly efficient manner. Vanlaningham finished with 29 points while shooting 50% from the field.
Pardon me while I have an I told you so moment. I know I said this summer to watch out for Dirschell, that his game had risen to another level. Well, here we are. Season has just gotten started and Dirschell put his improved game on display. He looks ready for a BIG season. Dirschell finished the game with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
Let’s add a new name to the list. This is a player that I’ve never covered before, but he deserves to see his name in print. He was more than impressive in his team’s opening 70-58 win against Livonia Clarenceville. Snodgrass finished the game with a dominating double-double with 21 points and 19 rebounds.
Welcome to Michigan Mr. Williams. He was able to put on a show in Brother Rice’s first game, an impressive win against Ferndale. Williams lit up the scoreboard with 28 points and added 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. He finished at the rim through defenders with power and flaunted a pretty jumper from behind the arc.
Day was tremendous through grassroots season and that carried through to game 1 of his high school season. He was critical in his team’s 62-49 win against Dow. Day notched a points and rebounds double-double, finishing the contest with 31 and 10. He seems ready for a huge high school season.
