The event features some of the top local teams as well as a few from out of state. I was able to attend the event for the semifinals on Friday, Dec. 22 and here’s a look at some additional standouts I saw.
1. Briyan Aldridge – Washington Prep 2024
Aldridge is one of the best point guards in LA City Section. A tough player who always plays much bigger than his size. He’s a good ball-handler who can dribble under defensive pressure especially against bigger players, doesn’t get fazed by much. Consistently able to attack the basket off the dribble and finish through traffic/bigger defenders. Pushes the ball in transition. Active defensively with quick hands reading the passing lanes and forcing turnovers.
2. Siraaj Ali – Overland (CO) 2025
Ali stood out out initially for his defense. He’s active on that end with quick hands being able to read the passing lanes and force turnovers. Uses his length well to deflect passes. He can start the break off turnovers and is a good finisher at the basket in transition. Comfortable creating his own shot and consistently able to get the midrange pull-up in the halfcourt.
3. Cameron Williams – St. Mary’s (AZ) 2026
Williams has good size and length and can be a disruptor on the defensive end. He’s a shot blocker in the paint using his length and instincts to challenge shots at the rim. Offensively, he moves well off cuts and rolling to the basket. He’s active in the paint positioning himself well for tip-ins and put-backs and offensive rebounds to gain extra possessions.
4.
Kayleb Kearse

– Serra 2026
Kearse is a smaller guard but is very effective. He has no issue getting to the basket and being to finishing over taller defenders. He’s able to consistently beat his defender off the dribble. He has a quick release on his shot and can shoot from anywhere on the court. He’s able to knock down the pull-up jumper off the dribble and can consistently knock down three-point shots.
