Aaron Hunkin-Claytor | 2024 | Salesian
The University of Hawaii-bound point guard is one of the best when it comes to managing and controlling the tempo of a game. Claytor is a smart, crafty and unselfish pass-first player who stays calm under pressure and that poise came in handy as Salesian had to hold off a scrappy Windward team that made a push late.
Delton Prescott III | 2027 | Sunnyslope (AZ)
When Sunnyslope is at its best, Prescott is leading a fast, downhill break in the open court, getting paint touches, and finding open teammates. The 5-foot-8 guard has lightning quick change of speed and direction, and, though he’s moving faster than just about anyone else on the court, stays under control and makes the right reads to find open teammates.
Elzie Harrington | 2025 | St. John Bosco
Harrington is one of the highest IQ passers, creators and connectors in high school basketball and that statement was on full-display in Bosco’s win over Clovis North. The 6-foot-5 junior uses patience to allow plays to develop, allow the game to come to him and understands when to attack and when to pull the ball out and run offense.
Jase Butler | 2024 | Branson
Butler has the ball on a string and commands his team the way a point guard was designed to do. The 6-foot-4 lefty, who is headed to Illinois next fall, uses his pace, IQ, vision and size to create for himself and teammates off the bounce and with advancing the ball in transition. Butler brings a selfless approach to the floor and empowers his teammates by putting them in positions to succeed.
Liam Campbell | 2024 | Owyhee (ID)
The USC-bound combo guard could fit on any list we create from this event but his overall impact on winning, finding scoring opportunities for himself and teammates, and doing the little things that not all highly-recruited guys are willing to do lands him in the playmaker category. Campbell is a dribble, pass and shoot guy who can score and create from every area of the court. The 6-foot-5 senior also guards multiple positions and rebounds out of his area.
Mason Magee | 2026 | Basha (AZ)
Magee is an intriguing underclass prospect with his combination of length, strength, balance and explosive athleticism. The 6-foot sophomore has “shot out of a cannon” type speed when he gets downhill in transition and has the leaping ability and physicality to explode and finish over rim protectors or through them.
Tiger Cuff | 2024 | American Fork (UT)
Cuff led the Cavemen with 15 points but really keyed their well-balanced offense with his basketball IQ and ability to run the team’s offense to a T. The Weber State-commit plays with unflappable poise and a next-level feel to his creation off the dribble in transition and half-court offense.
