Three Up

Rogers (4-1). The Royals have nice wins over Brainerd and STMA with a loss to top ten Buffalo. They are a couple games ahead of what we would have expected and the balance of their group is leading the way. [player_tooltip player_id='1734188' first='Blake' last='Dalluge'] is getting his 16-17 a game again but he has 6'0 senior Adam Brogerg and 6'2 senior Jaxson Fuller scoring in double figures along with him. Christian Wagner is another 6'1 senior guard that has stepped up and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2423583' first='Treyvon' last='Mix'] is scoring nine a game and helping spread the floor as well. Rogers basically has a pack of guards that is just attacking from all over.

Eagan (3-0). Eagan got the expected win over rebuilding White Bear Lake and then grabbed a couple eye openers knocking off two of the better teams from the Minneapolis City Conference in Southwest and Washburn. [player_tooltip player_id='1943059' first='Charlie' last='Birk'] is off to a great start scoring 16 a game reflecting the great off-season he had. [player_tooltip player_id='1434063' first='Max' last='Buslee'] is scoring 15 a game also following a nice 17u season. [player_tooltip player_id='1560747' first='Alex' last='Schroepfer'] has put up 15 a game backing up the thought that he's a top sophomore and captain [player_tooltip player_id='2359970' first='Liam' last='Madigan'], a 6'4 senior, has been a nice surprise scoring 36 points through six games.

Woodbury (3-0). The Royals would have been picked to beat Centennial, Irondale, and St. Paul Central coming in, but the fact that they did it, and the fact that they won all the games by double digits has been an eye opener. The table is set for this team to enter the New Year with a very impressive record based on the way they have played so far. [player_tooltip player_id='1617779' first='Marquivion' last='Beasley'] is scoring 20 plus a game right now and Quientin Cobb-Butler is also off to a nice start as a Woodbury senior.

Three Down

Blaine (0-4). Close losses to Centennial and Cambridge-Isanti and then around 20 point losses to Anoka and Osseo have led to the rough start for a team we thought might be able to compete for the top 7AAAA spot. [player_tooltip player_id='1288812' first='Alvin' last='Payne'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2174606' first='Jordan' last='Lyon'] are a bucket away from averaging 40 a game on average plus [player_tooltip player_id='1434059' first='Ethan' last='Pettis'] can score as well. This is a team that we think can turn this around. They play Champlin park this weekend.

Champlin Park (0-4). As we saw, Blaine and CP play this weekend in a game both feel they have to have. The Rebels schedule had Wayzata and Park Center in the first two weeks so you knew there was going to be some tough spots. Maple Grove was pry the favorite in that game so that close loss was pry expected to but the Chaska loss was a surprise. The schedule does lighten up although Champlin Park does not have a home game again until January 4th. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1874925' first='Preston' last='Thielke'] is scoring 16 a game.

Edina (0-3). Honestly I would have picked Edina to start 0-3 and still believe they can crack the top ten this year. They had one score losses to Farmington and Shakopee, and BSM beat them by 20. Those were all games that Edina was not favored in. The schedule doesn't lighten up per say but I think the Hornets will be on the winning track very soon and then it will be a regular thing. [player_tooltip player_id='1574213' first='Daniel' last='Molhoek'] is scoring 15 a game with [player_tooltip player_id='1284163' first='Josiah' last='Coleman'] at 13 a contest so far and both should have great seasons.
