Alvin had a strong showing on Friday night using his quickness to attack the basket for Minnesota Heat . Going up against a talented Starks Elite team, he was able to make plays off the dribble as there wasn’t a defender who could match his quickness on the ball. Has a lightning quick spin move going at the rim, and showcased impressive body control for some tough lay-ups in traffic. It looked like Starks Elite was going to run away with the game, but Alvin’s consistent effort on both ends of the floor helped make things interesting for a little bit in the second half.

The final game of the night was the Alvin Payne Alvin Payne 6'1" | PG Blaine | 2024 State MN show. Alvin could not be stopped from attacking the rim with his elite ability to convert through traffic. He was able to absorb contact from defenders and finish like they were never even there. He is a springy jumper and used that to hang in the air to avoid his shots from being blocked. He also used that to fly high and grab rebounds where he would then immediately begin pushing the ball up the floor. Payne is an unselfish player who had many key assists in kick out situations and with long outlet passes. The 2024 guard averaged over 11 points per game this past high school season at Blaine.

Alvin Payne Alvin Payne 6'1" | PG Blaine | 2024 State MN the 2024 Junior point guard for Blaine really controlled pace for the Bengals with his quickness and speed. Pushing the ball even after makes to give Blaine opportunities at quick baskets. Payne probed the defense with his dribble drive, and was really the main set-up man for Blaine’s perimeter attack.
