Cardinal Gibbons High (5-2)

The Crusaders are already tough to beat with [player_tooltip player_id='2171867' first='Damon' last='Phillips'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1165174' first='Cash' last='McSweeney'] in the fold and they'll be even better once [player_tooltip player_id='1907230' first='Aiden' last='Smalls'] returns and is back at full strength. They've dropped two games in a row but look for them to bounce back with time to regroup before they face Northside Christian Academy on Dec. 28. [player_tooltip player_id='2298572' first='Trey' last='Jones'] is another name to keep an eye on with this group. They're well-coached and play under control regardless of who's in front of them.

Sanderson High (3-4)

Sanderson High has lost four games in a row since starting the season 3-0. They'll be battle-tested by the time CAP 6 Conference action arrives in January. [player_tooltip player_id='1361268' first='Nathan' last='Fife'] continues to lead the charge for them with Gordie Balas starting to find his shooting stroke as well on the perimeter. Unsigned senior Patrick Dalton has held things down in the painted area for the Spartans as well to shore things up on the size front. They aren't the biggest squad but they are well-coached and Fife knows how to control the pace with his exploits at the lead guard role.

Broughton High (3-4)

Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2292410' first='Jordan' last='Page'] has emerged as the leading name to know with the Capitals this season. He's a wiry 6-foot-4 prospect who can operate on the interior and off the wing with his ability to handle the basketball and create in the open floor. He's averaging 16.0 PPG, 10.0 RPG and 1.3 APG so far in his varsity debut. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1876923' first='Hudson' last='Fitzgerald'] is another prospect to keep an eye on in the CAP 6 given his prowess for shooting the basketball on the perimeter. They've got South Garner, Cannon School, Wakefield and Knightdale on the non-conference schedule left still.

Athens Drive High (3-3)

Athens Drive is a group that always plays close games. Just one of their three losses came by single digits (Green Level). They've got Middle Creek and Willow Spring High on the schedule before PH will get a closer look at them at the South Granville Christmas Tournament starting on Dec. 28. Junior Derek Crumpton and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2337686' first='Chase' last='Hardy'] are the leading names for the Jaguars. Crumpton is posting 14.7 PPG and 5.3 RPG while Hardy is at 9.7 PPG and 5.0 RPG.
