He’s already making waves on the football field as they remain unbeaten and is due to make a splash on the hardwood as well alongside Justice Mitchell Justice Mitchell 6'6" | SF Clayton | 2025 State NC and Andrew Grimes Andrew Grimes 6'8" | PF Clayton | 2025 State #307 Nation NC . They’ll be an exciting group to watch for sure.

Smalls is an emerging to know to with Clayton High after spending the past two seasons at Cardinal Gibbons High. He led the Crusaders this past season with 16.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game across just 14 games of action. He missed the first part of the season due to an injury from football season. He’ll be a key face in the Clayton Comets backcourt in 2024-25 as a top transfer name to know.

Smalls finished up football season and joined the team late this season, but has wasted no time in making an impact on his Cardinal Gibbons backcourt. He’s averaging over 18 PPG and posting pretty similar stats outside of points than what he did last year. He’s a capable shotmaker, getting downhill and hitting the mid-range pull up with ease. Also a very good passer on the move, with good vision and an ability to fire fling passes in traffic for open teammates.

Last Season Stats – 15.6 PPG, 4.6 APG, 45 3PM

Smalls was injured in the spring but still looked good this summer with Gibbons as he continues to progress in both basketball and football. He’s an impressive passer as well, attacking defenders and using gravity to open up lanes for his teammates. His efficiency is still a work in progress but it’s normal to see those things from a freshman. His talent is undeniable and should be in line for a breakout year this season.

Aiden Smalls Aiden Smalls 6'1" | PG Clayton | 2026 NC is a two-sport athlete that’s slowly finding his way on the hardwood and gridiron at Cardinal Gibbons High. He suffered an injury late in the high school season but has rehabbed himself back to full health as he looks to make more noise on the varsity basketball scene in 2023-24. He put up 15.6 ppg, 4.7 apg, 4.6 rpg and 2.0 spg on 40 percent shooting from the floor as a freshman in 2022-23.

Aiden Smalls Aiden Smalls 6'1" | PG Clayton | 2026 NC was the leading name in the Cardinal Gibbons High rotation in 2022-23 in his varsity debut. He showed he could be an all-around presence in the backcourt as he produced 15.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 4.6 apg and 2.0 spg in 27 appearances on the varsity stage as a freshman. He’s an impressive floor general with a high IQ for making plays for himself and others on the hardwood. He’s one to keep an eye on with Team Loaded NC.
