Brady Benish Brady Benish 6'0" | SG Lake Mills | 2026 State WI – 2026 – SG – Lake Mills
Benish shot the ball really well and kept Lake Mills in the game early. The sophomore guard scored 20 points and hit a series of triples in the first half to bring the L-Cats back from a deficit. The 6-foot-1 guard is coming off a freshman season in which he shot 46 percent from deep. Benish has one of the cleanest strokes in the state. There’s just no wasted movement in his shot. Even if Benish doesn’t catch it right in his shooting pocket, he’s somehow able to get a smooth release. A prospect with a really good feel for his teammates, Benish does an exceptional job of relocating when the ball enters the post or floating to the corner on dribble penetration where he can give his guys an out.
Stevie Clark Stevie Clark 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2024 State #322 Nation WI – 2024 – SF – Oshkosh North
Clark just battled when it would have been really easy to throw in the towel. The Colgate commit has battled some stuff early in the season and wasn’t really 100 percent on Saturday. On top of that, his shot wasn’t falling for most of the game. However, when Oshkosh North needed him, Clark rose to the occasion. Putting together two strong overtime periods, Clark hit the game-winner to put the Spartans over the top against Stoughton. The way Clark came out in crunch time, not only did he elevate his game a few notches, you just knew he wasn’t going to be denied. Operating in the pick n’ roll and in isolation, Clark got downhill and weaved between defenders for key buckets. Inside the arc, Clark made 11 of his 12 field goal attempts, finishing with 27 points. He also had four rebounds, three assists, seven steals, and four blocks in a complete effort.

Ty Fernholz Ty Fernholz 6'2" | SG Stoughton | 2024 State WI – 2024 – SG – Stoughton
Fernholz was just incredibly clutch on Saturday. It just so happened that Oshkosh North got the last full possession, because the Spartans had no answer for the Michigan Tech commit down the stretch. When it looked like North was going to put the hammer down in the first overtime period, Fernholz scored six straight points to bring Stoughton right back. At the end of regulation and in the two overtime periods, Fernholz was trading buckets with the North. The Vikings also asked the 6-foot-2 guard to defend the 6-foot-6 Xzavion Mitchell Xzavion Mitchell 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2025 State #119 Nation WI and Fernholz did an admirable job there. Have said this since he was a freshman, but Fernholz is maybe the best player in the state when it comes to moving without the ball. He finished with a game-high 28 points in the loss.
Kaden Mackenzie – 2025 – SG – Waunakee
Think Mackenzie boosted his stock on Saturday. The junior guard looks a little bigger, more athletic, and more willing to be an attacker offensively this season. The 6-foot-3 guard has strong positional size and he constantly made plays against Lake Mills on both ends of the floor. Averaging 13.3 ppg on a very balanced Waunakee squad, Mackenzie dropped 20 on Saturday. Looks like there’s some good all-around ability here. Mackenzie can break down defenses off the dribble, snipe off the ball, and get into high percentage areas where he’ll find an open teammate. Also thought Mackenzie was active and tenacious defensively, which created some run-outs for the Warriors.

Xzavion Mitchell Xzavion Mitchell 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2025 State #119 Nation WI – 2025 – F – Oshkosh North
Mitchell continues to take his game to a great level, especially as a perimeter threat. The state’s third-ranked player scored it on the ball as well as I’ve seen thus far. Mitchell hit two 3’s and was 10-of-16 from the field overall en route to 27 points. Mitchell also had eight rebounds, four assists, in three blocks. A scoring threat from all three levels, Mitchell took guys down to the block, created off the bounce, and showed he’s far improved as a catch and shoot threat from 3-point range. Defensively, Mitchell is one of the top 1-2 shot blockers in the state. He times shots exceptionally well, can get off the ground quickly — even if he has to go up multiple times, and just doesn’t know how to turn off that motor. Holding two high major scholarship offers, think Mitchell should have a lot more come his way this spring.
Sawyer Schipper Sawyer Schipper 6'1" | SG Stoughton | 2024 State WI – 2024 – SG – Stoughton
Beating a dead horse here, but Schipper continues to fly way under the radar. He’s pushing for a top 50 spot the way he’s played this season. Also a standout football prospect, Schipper is still undecided on which route he’s taking in college, but if I’m a WIAC program, I’m knocking down this kid’s door. Schipper had Stoughton on his back during two key spurts in Saturday’s loss to Oshkosh North, doing a little bit of everything. Schipper finished with 18 points, four assists, and three steals in the loss. A shotmaker, tough, hard-nosed defender, and one of the most competitive players in the state, Schipper has been extremely consistent over the last two seasons and continues to produce against the best. Time and time again, when it looked like the Spartans might gain control, Schipper came up with a steal, defensive stop, transition bucket, or a timely jumper.
Carter Sullivan Carter Sullivan 6'6" | PF Stoughton | 2025 State WI – 2025 – PF – Stoughton
Sullivan was the most pleasant surprise on Saturday. Had been hearing good things about his progress and the junior forward did not let me down. In a high-level matchup with Oshkosh North, there were spurts where Sullivan was the most impactful player on the floor. This kid’s got some stuff to him as a strong, athletic, and somewhat versatile 6-foot-6 forward. Loved his ability to stick his face in the fan and battle for rebounds. When Sullivan catches on the block, he can score 1-on-1 with a nice jump hook. Sullivan passes out of the post really well too. A type of prospect that thinks every rebound is his, Sullivan really goes after the offensive glass and creates a lot of second chance opportunities for Stoughton. In Saturday’s loss, Sullivan contributed 16 points (7-14), eight rebounds (four offensive), four assists, two steals, and two blocks.
