Below is a review of five teams (presented in alphabetical order) that are off to a surprisingly fast start early in the 2023-24 season.

Bensalem (7-1): Over the first three weeks of this season, the trio of [player_tooltip player_id='2226452' first='Antonio' last='Morris'], Noah Morris and Jaidyn Moffit have been outstanding for the Owls. Moffitt's quick, but physical style of play reminds us of a young Charles Barkley. Bensalem has also received steady play from point guard Amir Drummond and senior Nate Cooper.

Central Bucks East (9-0): We knew that CB East had the pieces to post a solid season, but we never imagined a 9-0 start. This squad is off to a fast start behind a barrage of 3-pointers. Their senior guards [player_tooltip player_id='1045684' first='Jacob' last='Cummiskey'] (1,000 point scorer), [player_tooltip player_id='1598073' first='Justin' last='DiRoberto'] and Dhruv Mukund have all been torching the nets from behind the arc. 2025 wing prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2328787' first='Nolan' last='Behm'] has been fantastic too. 6'6” forward Miles Demby has supplied rebounding and shot blocking

Faith Christian (8-1): As a team the Lions are scoring a ridiculous average of 75.2 points per contest. Senior shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1202407' first='Tyler' last='Forscht'] has been automatic from deep. [player_tooltip player_id='2391420' first='Micaiah' last='Hughes'] has drained threes and scored off the bounce. [player_tooltip player_id='2721483' first='Jagger' last='Verbit'] has given this squad excellent floor general style point guard play. Mason Paul has been a plus defender who creates turnovers and then can push the rock in transition.

Lower Meron (8-0): The graduation of LM's decorated Class of 2023 that included all-world guard Sam Brown (Penn) had many hoop heads predicting a down season for the Aces. Well, LM's group of 2024 prospects have played tremendous team basketball and the wins keep rolling in. Senior guards [player_tooltip player_id='2120393' first='Owen' last='McCabe'], [player_tooltip player_id='2699527' first='Carson' last='Kasmer'] and Adam Herronkohl supply a balanced perimeter attack. [player_tooltip player_id='1123894' first='Jayden' last='Robinson'] and Justin Mebane are a pair of 6'5” wing-forwards providing impressive two-way play.

Malvern Prep (9-0): As we expected, [player_tooltip player_id='991421' first='Ryan' last='Williams'] (Northeastern commit) is off to an impressive start. But with standout shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1123923' first='Ryan' last='Pegg'] sidelined because of an injury, several other prospects have stepped up. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2194375' first='Nick' last='Harken'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1406896' first='Marvin' last='Reed'] have been starting and making significant contributions. Bernard Blakey, [player_tooltip player_id='2047830' first='Junior' last='McFadden'], [player_tooltip player_id='2322815' first='Achilles' last='Tucker-Turner'] and Ennis Udo have all had their moments as well.
