<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1766506' first='Leshawn' last='Stowers'] led the way for Peoria High with 18 points and 5 assists. Stowers is a strong athlete with a powerful game as a wing guard. At his best attacking the rim, he also displayed great vision finding open teammates once he drew help. Stowers utilizes his athleticism on defense as well as a great on ball defender and presence in the paint. He currently has offers from Southern Illinois, Eastern Illinois and Incarnate Word. Unsigned senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2318235' first='Rico' last='Jackson'] has a quick first step to blow by defenders and create passing lanes. He scored 11 points and 3 assists for Peoria. Junior guard Spencer Russell had 13 points with three 3's and hit some big shots down the stretch.</p>

<p>For East Peoria- [player_tooltip player_id='2125674' first='Quinton' last='Kitt'] had 15 points and 7 rebounds, showing his scoring capabilities inside and out. Great touch around the rim and ability to finish with either hand. Kitt is not the most explosive athlete but moves well for his size at 6'4 and only a freshman. While he was outmatched physically vs an older/stronger Stowers, Kitt battled and held his ground for most of the game. Another freshman who has impressed early in the season for EP- [player_tooltip player_id='2323592' first='Cole' last='Dubois'] showed good poise vs a feisty Peoria High defense. Dubois is a shifty ball handler and confident scorer at all three levels. He had 11 points and 4 assists. The Dubois-Kitt duo will be interesting to watch develop in the Mid Illini conference for years to come. 6'3 Junior Navaeh Behm also posted 8 points and 6 rebounds providing some much needed length down low for a young and undersized East Peoria roster.</p>
