He spent the previous two seasons developing on JV before a standout summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2078678' first='East' last='Coast Power'] HGSL 16U. The athletic combo guard can score on or off-ball, adding versatility to the Cahillites. With his motor, he can play at a gear that others can't. The energy he brings to the defensive end is intense. They've been quietly building the program and Khan is their newest ambassador. He's very skilled at picking and getting to his spots in the mid-range, and he has good mechanics on his jumper. He is sneaky athletic, plays with an attitude, and is a scrappy team defender. Most notably, he can get hot from behind the arc. Maxey understands how to find his shots within the offense. He'll likely come off the bench. But, because he has a high feel for the game, that won't be a problem. A smart, fluid defender and connective passer who can make open shots, Mtume-Long meshes in any of NG's lineups. He doesn't need a ball-screen to create space, but he's effective in PNR. His experience as floor general is invaluable because he can get his teammates the ball where they're threats to score.
