The 2024-25 Philadelphia Catholic League MVP did all he could to counter Meachem’s jaw dropping performance as Ellerbee dropped 23 points of his own for Team Awesome. Ellerbee got downhill in transition as well as in the half-court for lay-ups or bunnies. He frequently converted in traffic with reverses or scoops off the glass. Ellerbee’s jump shot was clicking too as he drained mid-range jumpers and threes. This FGCU commit also pushed the rock on the fast break for scores and assists.     

22 to 6…After his incredible senior season Ellerbee was named the MVP of the Philadelphia Catholic League. In 2024-25 this FGCU commit stuffed the stat book with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2 steals per game. Ellerbee is a versatile prospect who can operate as point guard, shooting guard or wing. He is an extraordinary transition player who can pilot the fast break for scores or assists. On half-court possessions, Ellerbee is impossible to stop off the dribble. His quick first step and deep bag of dribble moves enable Ellerbee to create for himself or teammates off the bounce. Once he gets into the lane and has decided to score, Ellerbee will not hesitate to punch it on an opponent’s head. If the help defense manages to cut off Ellerbee, he will drop a pass to the dunker spot or kick out to open shooters. Ellerbee’s three-point shooting is a developing weapon too.   

Ellerbee is currently the 22^nd ranked prospect in our 2025 rankings. However, after his MVP senior year in the Philadelphia Catholic League we expect he will move up in the next edition of our rankings. This season Ellerbee (FGCU commit) stuffed the stat book with 17 points; 7 rebounds and 5.4 assist per game. Ellerbee is a multi-skilled perimeter prospect who can operate as point guard, shooting guard or wing. He is a lethal transition player who can push the rock for scores or assists. In the half-court, Ellerbee is a dribble drive wizard. He can use his deep bag of dribble moves to get into the paint for runners or lay-ins. Or Ellerbee can put the ball on the deck, draw the help defense and then distribute to open teammates. Ellerbee’s 3-point shooting must all be respected.
