Continuing to look like an X-factor in Prep’s quest to rise up the PCL standings, Brown was effective within his role while showcasing his appealing long-term building blocks. The up-and-down nature of camp games suited him perfectly as he was able to beat opposing bigs down the floor and show off his explosiveness on easy finishes around the rim. He was also an energetic rim deterrent with his length and athleticism on the defensive end. He’s still in the early stages of adding strength and refining his offensive game in the halfcourt, but as one of the younger 2029’s around, looks to have considerable upside to tap into as he stacks days in the years to come.

Without amassing a ton of counting stats, Brown stood out due to how well he used his physical tools and played with toughness. He blanketed opposing forwards in the post with his wiry strong arms and protected the rim when they and others challenged him inside. Brown was a major factor on the defensive glass as well.

An emerging rotation piece for a Prep team looking to make a leap up the PCL standings, Brown should make a splash on the varsity level for the first time this winter. He catches the eye immediately with his standout length and graceful athleticism in the frontcourt, playing with solid energy while making an impact around the rim on both ends of the floor. His contributions as a weakside shot-blocker and opportunistic finisher around the rim could provide a nice boost off the bench for a revamped Prep frontcourt. Brown is still early in the process of rounding out his overall skillset but looks ready to be heard from this winter.

Brown caught my attention during the 15U HGAL semifinals with a productive all-around performance that highlighted his long-term upside. He continues to emerge as a promising prospect and should only get better with continued development. Defensively, Brown displayed excellent timing as a rim protector, altering shots and taking away several would-be baskets. On the offensive end, he showed touch with his short mid-range jumper when given space to operate and finished effectively around the basket. As he continues to add strength to his frame, the game should come even easier for him, allowing him to play through contact more consistently and maximize his two-way potential.
