Carey Smith | Prep Hoops Scout
In 2024-25 Lee once again proved that he is a point elite guard who possesses tight handles, a high IQ and next level passing skills. He is the ultimate facilitator and patiently probes opposing defenses off the dribble for the best scoring opportunity. Plus, Lee excels at executing drive and kicks. When Lee (9ppg. & 6 apg.) is looking to get buckets, his quick first step gets him into the paint for floaters, lay-ins, and runners. His stop-n-pop skills must be respected too. Additionally, Lee can push the fast break for scores or assists. At the defensive end, Lee is an on-ball menace. In West Catholic’s 2nd Round win over Warrior Run, Lee stuffed the stat book with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.

Lee wasn’t a primary scorer for West Catholic but was unquestionably the engine to their offense with his dynamic ability to generate paint touches. Seemingly every time one would blink, Lee was bursting past his defender off the bounce, setting up teammates for a number of easy looks while also just narrowly missing on a handful of finishes himself (some that could have been called fouls). Not known as a shooter, he also knocked down a second half 3 off the catch. He can be inconsistent at times, but Lee’s paint pressure looks to be a translatable skill for the scholarship level, with upside if he can continue to develop his shooting.

After his string of outstanding fall ball performances, Lee has positioned himself as one of the hottest 2025 guard prospects in SEPA. Thanks to his tight handles and three level scoring skills, Lee was a standout performer at marquee fall events like the CoBL Interstate Shootout, the MH Northeast Preview, and the All-City Classic. His ability to get into the paint for floaters and lay-ins is impressive. He can also slam on the brakes in the mid-range and hit pull-ups. Lee’s jumper is accurate beyond the arc too. His high IQ and court vision make him a fantastic distributor. Lee is especially skilled at drive and kick passes.

After Lee’s impressive performances at the Donofrio Classic and the Post & Pivot Summer League, it should be a surprise that he was a standout at the NFC. Lee once again proved that he is a floor general who possesses tight handles, a high IQ and poise. Those assets allow Lee to put constant pressure on opponents as he probes their defense for the best scoring opportunity. On Saturday he got into the paint for floaters, lay-ins, and kick outs.
