Smith is well known as an accurate long-range shooter and that skill set was on full display in the 4A title contest. Smith drained 3 treys on his way to 13 points overall during DP’s win over Berks Catholic. That hot shooting display should not come as a surprise as during DP’s 2^nd Round 4A victory, Smith popped 4 threes on his way to 14 points. Smith is an automatic spot up shooter. Once he established that fact, Smith did a tremendous job of executing a head fake, followed by side dribble into open space to for a clean look from deep. Other times he followed his fake with a straight-line drive to the rack. Smith also handed out 5 dimes last night.

Smith drained 7 treys on his way to 23 points overall during DP’s win over Don Bosco (NJ). Smith’s ability to move along the arc while he remained in the ball handler’s sight line is noteworthy. Smith also did a smooth job of executing a head fake, followed by a side dribble into open space to create a clean look for himself. Smith’s height and quick release made it easy for him to shoot over defenders. Plus, Smith was effective shooting out of DHO action.
