With as many talented players in the state this season, it is important that we give you a list of names to keep an eye on for the season, which is what I will be doing with each position in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes. The point of my list is to give you a preview of some the players that are maybe overlooked a little, still on the college recruiting board, or guys in general that deserve to have eyes on them. With that said, here are centers to watch for in the 2025 class this season.
When it comes to true centers in the in-state 2025 class, Tyler Raasch Tyler Raasch 6’8″ | C NorthWood | 2025 State IN sits at the top in my opinion. The 6’8 NorthWood big man has always been a consistent force due to his motor and skills that continue to develop. Raasch is a very good shot blocker, runs the floor well, and has burgeoning offensive ability. Out of all the centers in the in-state 2025 class, I think Raasch has the most long term potential out of all of them. With all the stars for NorthWood now gone, look for Raasch to takeover and lead the Panthers.
There may not be a center in the in-state 2025 class that has the most pressure to produce than Kaleb Milan Kaleb Milan 6’8″ | C Ben Davis | 2025 State IN . At 6’8, Milan transferred to Ben Davis from Scecina High School in offseason and immediately has the pressure to replace the production of Zane Doughty in the post for the Giants. While Milan is not Doughty, he still is a very talented big that Ben Davis will utilize. He has true size and strength around the basket and recently had a few breakout performances over the summer. Milan averaged 10.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game as a sophomore
Bostic has been a center that has always intrigued me in the few times I have watched him play. Bostic is a center that plays really physical. Can stretch the floor a little bit and for his size he has great handles. Really like his footwork around the rim as well. This year for Park Tudor, there is an opening for Bostic to take more of a prominent role and boost his stock a little bit. Fundamentally sound big that could be in for a breakout year.
As far as under-the-radar centers in the in-state 2025 class, Terre Haute North’s Bryce Renn Bryce Renn 6’10” | PF Terre Haute North | 2025 State IN sits at the top. At 6’9, He is very thin, but is consistently involved in the rebounding efforts, blocking shots, and shows his offensive skill stepping out to make plays on the perimeter. He recently impressed at the MIB Fall League due to his hands, defensive efforts, and ball screen action. Needs to get stronger, but overall is intriguing center prospect.
