He brings good size and length as a contributor off the bench for this team. He had good play in the paint on both ends, not a lot of scoring, but defending, and going after rebounds. He was strong going up off two inside. He hit short corner, and paint jump shots. He ran the court in transition. He can work the baseline with a dribble or two to get close.
He continues to improve his overall skill set, working the perimeter putting up shots behind the 3pt line, finding cutters. He’s works his way from mid to low post where he’s putting together a good scoring package. He’s facing up, using a dribble or two, and using his length with touch or two handed dunks for points. He’s a shot blocker, rebounder, and a court runner.
Highlights
He’s a big guard at 6’3 with decent handles, he has some point guard skills. He’s handling ball pressure bringing the ball up court, he’s making good passes and taking care of the ball. He’s playing good defense, with a good stance, arms away from the body. He’s guarding hard on ball, and has good help off ball.
At 6’1 Chadwick had the dunk of the day, a two handed throw down on a defender, using one dribble. The strong combo guard had been fearlessly attacking the rim when he had the opportunity. He can run the point, play through contact. He has quick feet to defend, he doesn’t give in.
The solid body 6’2 Freshman guard doesn’t seem to be fazed playing up on the Varsity in competitive games in the early season. He’s getting good minutes and contributing off the bench on a quality team. He’s taking care of the ball when handling up top. He has good vision, and passing. He’s defending his position.
In the spring and summer, and now early in the high school basketball season Hudson has established himself as the top ranked prospect in the PH NorCal class of 2027. The hard playing guard puts pressure on opposing defenses when he gets the ball, he’s on go. He pushes hard, attacks the basket fearlessly. His ability to make shots separates him. A mid-range jumper, finishing at the rim. He’s a willing passer, he defends hard. He’s averaging over 20 points his first two games
