The Panthers defeated the host Cathedral Academy 57-50 to win the Championship on Sunday evening. The Panthers will really look to make a good push this season in SCISA Class 4A. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Vince Has Strong Showing:</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1731364' first='Michael' last='Vince']</strong> came out on fire on Sunday and led the way for the Pinewood Prep Panthers to the victory. Vince a lengthy wing has added some height over the past year finished with 21 points in the victory. Michael connected on a few three-pointers and some floaters here today. Vince does a really nice job of setting his feet and getting his shot off while shooting it at a good clip. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Panthers Support</em></strong> <strong><em>Cast: </em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The future looks bright for Head Coach Pat Eidson and the Panthers. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1669895' first='Jonathan' last='Slawson']</strong> was able to direct the Panthers to victory with his heady play here today. Slawson will sacrifice his frame on both ends of the court to make a play for the Panthers. Parris is a very nice sized wing player who looks the part already. Tripp saw plenty of action a year ago as an 8th grader. Eidson played aggressive at times and showed the ability to play inside and out. Bryce surely doesn't lack any confidence on the floor with his play. Ward is shifty to the cup and has no problems touching the paint on a regular basis.
