Leith also stood out with his scoring ability on day one. He had 22 points, all on two-point field goals, in a round one win. Ayden was so consistent and efficient in getting to the rim and finishing there, so there was no need for any other part of his scoring arsenal, and his size and strength were huge factors in that success. Leith was able to use and reject screens when starting with the ball, but he also had some off-ball actions run for him to get him going early in the game. Keep an eye on Ayden as he finishes up the spring and gets back to school ball in June.

There aren’t many Sophomores who have had a better first half of their season than Ayden Leith Ayden Leith 6'2" | CG Christian Academy | 2028 State SC . He went into the night averaging over 27 points per game and finished it with a 24-point game in a two-point road win over Florence Christian. When he wanted to be, Ayden was near-unstoppable in getting to the rim. The Eagles tried throwing different zones and matchups at Leith to contain him, but his strength through contact, handling around bodies, and comfort scoring in the paint capitalized on all the weaknesses in the opponent’s defense.

Leith made a small jump up from #31 to #26 because of how well he has started his Sophomore Season. He is currently averaging 29.7 Points Per Game on 57% FG Shooting, which are both among the best in South Carolina.
