The Prep Hoops Texas Top 250 Expo was loaded with talent from sophomores to seniors. Prospects were given the opportunity to showcase their ability to shoot the three-ball, facilitate, defend, handle the rock, dunk, and hit the boards, and many of them were very impressive in doing so. While those things were great to witness, I looked beyond them to see if I could find some prospects that influenced and changed the game through their play in some of those areas as well as others. Here are a few of the junior prospects that emerged as some of the Expo’s top GameChangers…
Scottie Guillory Scottie Guillory 6’3″ | PG Legacy School Of Sports Sciences | 2025 TX is one of the top point guards on the Texas 2025 watchlist. In a showcase where three-point shooting dominated, Scottie’s expertise in the mid-range area set him apart, establishing himself as one of the most dependable scorers in the event. Guillory possessed one of the most graceful pull-up jump shots among all the prospects at the showcase, with impeccable elevation, release point, touch, and fluidity. He was capable of creating and taking a shot whenever he desired, even in tight spaces. Guillory made scoring look effortless at times, and his consistent mid-range shooting proved to be a pivotal aspect of his scoring prowess. He was a true mid-range assassin, and defending against his leaning fadeaway jumper near the baseline was an incredibly challenging task.

His passion for the game was evident in his play, and he possessed excellent intangibles. There was something truly special about this kid, whenever he had the ball or was on the court, good things happened.

He drilled jump shots whether they were wide open or with a defender draped all over him, resulting in “and-1” calls. His size played a significant role in his success with contested jump shots.
Kayden White Kayden White 5’10” | PG Denton Braswell | 2025 TX had a performance where he caught fire and took the game over, nailing consecutive three-pointers and scoring in bunches with limitless shooting range, becoming a nightmare on the wings for the defense whenever they sagged under the perimeter.
