A full slate of games is held on Tuesday nights with some top talent and teams participating. I was able to attend on Tuesday, Oct. 24 and here’s a look at some additional top prospects I saw.
1. Emmitt Claiborne – La Salle 2026
Claiborne stood out as a team-oriented wing who plays unselfishly and looks to make the right play. He’s solid ball-handler and did well dribbling under control against defensive pressure. In the 2nd half of the game I saw, he looked more aggressive in attacking off the dribble. He showed a little off the dribble creation in terms of getting his own shot. He also was able to knock down three-point shots off the catch. Good defensive instincts as well.
2. Eneasi Piuleini – Mira Costa 2025
Piuleini stood out for his play in transition. He did a good job sprinting out on the break and making himself available as a finisher. He was also able to handle the ball and be a playmaker in transition as well. In the halfcourt, he was able to shoot the pull-up jumper off the dribble as well as using step through moves to get to the basket. Defensively, he was strong on ball sliding his feet and being able to cut off potential drives to the basket.
3. Maximus Cho – South Torrance
Cho was a good all-around floor leader and point guard. He spent the entire game playing unselfishly and making sure he kept the ball moving and the offense flowing. He keeps his head up while dribbling and is always ready to make the right/extra pass to a teammate. He’s quick with the ball in his hands and when he’s able to draw the defense off the dribble, he’ll make sure to find the open teammate/shooter. While he looked to pass, he is a willing shooter if open and can get a bucket if necessary.
4. Briyan Aldridge – Washington Prep 2024
Aldridge is a smaller point guard, but a very effective one. He has very strong handles and can break the defense down and get to his spots on the court. Able to keep his dribble up and under control when facing defensive pressure. He’s a blur in transition, pushing the pace and getting out in front of the defense. He competes hard defensively despite being smaller than most other guards. Just an overall tough player and floor leader.
