Continue ReadingOver 200 prospects got together this weekend to showcase their skill in front of some of the biggest names. Texas is loaded with talent at the guard position so I was curious to see who would separate themselves from the pack with this opportunity. Here are my top 2026 Pangos guard prospects that should be on everyone’s radar.
2026 Silas Rodriquez by far had the best overall showcase at Pangos. The 6’3 guard is tough but also graceful with the ball. He can score a variety of ways including his potent midrange pull up. He eats contact going to rim and is able to float and finish layups. He also displayed a quick and accurate release from the 3 point line that had everyone impressed. Silas is a D1 lock and should have a huge year at Denton Guyer.
Highlights
2026 Trent Perry Trent Perry 6’4″ | SF Frisco LoneStar | 2026 State TX has always been an impressive prospect since I first seen him in 8th grade. He was the most explosive middle school player in the country in transition. Trent has added IQ passing and half court play to his game and that makes him him a solid top 25 national prospect. He also hit 4 triples. Trent is a handful for any team, can’t wait to see his Sophmore campaign this year at Frisco Lonestar.
2026 Xavier Green Xavier Green 5’11” | PG The Colony | 2026 State TX is a little more talked about then most players we mention and for good reason. He pulled up mid football season for day 1 and dominated both games. College ready IQ at the guard position, he has a good feel for game knowing when to score and when to drop it off to his teammates. Xavier’s carries a huge impact on both sides of the ball. Easy D1 lock.
2026 Seven Spurlock Seven Spurlock 6’5″ | SG Frisco Memorial | 2026 State TX is also a kid who’s picking up some national steam coming off an impressive eybl display this summer. Seven is tricky for defenders and coaches to figure out at 6’5 he’s technically a guard/wing but slides down often to help on bigs defensively or rebound offensively. This makes him a mismatch problem for most. He also displayed a nice shooting touch this weekend. D1 lock.
2026 Kingston Willis Kingston Willis 5’11” | PG Dallas Faith Family | 2026 TX will be on the court for state champion Faith Family this year. I just like his game, always making the right play at the right time. College IQ guard, he probably racked up the most assist per game. His defense was standout, he picked pockets and created transition offense all weekend. Kingston is one to watch for sure.
Keonte Greybear
Keonte Greybear
2026 Keonte Greybear is starting to make a rep for himself around the city with his high motor play. He knocks down shots when needed and might have been the most entertaining guard to watch this weekend with his flashy dunk. Not the last time you’ll hear about him. Keonte’s stock is on the rise and this weekend against top completion he showed why he deserves to be on any top guard list.
Got to check out 6’2 James Sanderson James Sanderson 6’2″ | PG Emerson | 2026 State TX again individually this weekend and CONSISTENCY is the key word. He operated his team like a pro…ball handling, IQ pick and rolls and taking over the scoring roll when needed. James is a D1 PG who plays well with other 3-5 stars, this is a huge plus for college coaches.

2026 Bryce Dixon Bryce Dixon 6’4″ | SF The Colony | 2026 State TX was impressive this weekend. He’s settled in to the guard spot and provided a dog like mentality for his squad. Mid range jumper is loading. Most explosive in transition, he also takes pride in locking down defenders and blocking shots. He could be HUGE addition for The Colony’s young roster.
2026 Ethan Sheats Ethan Sheats 6’8″ | PF Denton | 2026 State TX was a new face I came across. At 6’8 I went back and forth on his position but decided he is a guard with NBA size. Pretty much covered everything this weekend from 3 point streaks to explosive dunks in transition to blocked shots. The ceiling for Ethan is HIGH, one of the top prospects at Pangos for sure.
Highlights
2026 Dorion Bowen (Memphis) came to Pangos to make a point and did just that. He plays with a chip on his shoulder type feel not just wanted to score but mentally draining his defenders. He had a streak where he scored 12 strait points bring him team back to tie the game from 12 down and it was amazing to watch. He ran the 1-3 but at 6’5 can drop down on defense and protect the basket. Dorion is a D1 lock.

Robert Young
Robert Young
6’4 Robert Young (Ark) is one of those players I wish I could watch all weekend, he’s just a bucket. Long and overly athletic no one really could do anything with him as he attacked the basket. He runs the court every play on both sides and had multiple 20 point games. He also blocked lots of shots showing versatility which makes him a huge prospect in the 2026 class.
I didn’t hear enough about 2026 Jacob Lanier who is the #1 ranked prospect in Arkansas. 6’6 Wing who can run the PG position or play off ball and knock down shots. He started the weekend off with a 23 Point game and carried his team on both sides of the ball. The more you watch him the more you think he may have everything needed to not only play college ball but professional as well.
2026 Armon Almuttar Armon Almuttar 6’4″ | SF Dallas Parish Episcopal School | 2026 State TX is TOUGH. He started the weekend with a 33 point performance that was never topped. He uses his 6’4 solid frame to outbange defenders in the post but also have some smooth footwork and finishes. His midrange shot is money and he can give you 7-10 rebounds a game if needed. Armon also has a twin brother who’s also tough so consider yourself luck if you see them in a showcase split up rather than school ball.
