Three of the top AIA teams represented well with Sunnyslope, Millennium and St. Mary’s.
Here were some of the standout PF’s and C’s:
Anthony Maciel Anthony Maciel 6'5" | PF St. Mary's | 2025 State AZ St. Mary’s
A glue guy for the Knights defends multiple positions and will block shots in his area. He can pull-up from mid-range and hit the three plus he is way more athletic then he appears. He has good length with advanced defensive principles.
Arteus Jefferson Arteus Jefferson 6'5" | PF St. Mary's | 2025 State AZ St. Mary’s
A power forward who scores it effectively in the paint. He is always in motion and makes himself available to catch the ball and go up. The lefty has a nice touch from the free throw line and can face-up to the three point line. He also rebounds well in his area.
Cristian Simmons Cristian Simmons 6'8" | PF Sunnyslope | 2026 State AZ Sunnyslope
A power forward is starting to face-up more. He is a good passer and makes threes off the catch from the corners. He will score on offensive rebound put backs, runs the floor for layups and can dribble drive in traffic to score. He is skilled, strong and plays with a little edge and toughness to him.
Cameron Williams Cameron Williams 6'10" | PF St. Mary's | 2026 State AZ St. Mary’s
A long, fluid and taller forward. He runs really well and catches the ball in traffic. He can take very few strides and dunks it in the lane effortlessly. His best attribute currently is his shot blocking. He blocks shots with either hand impressively and covers a lot of ground. His pet move is his mid-range pull-up off the dribble.
Darius Wabbington Darius Wabbington 6'10" | C Sunnyslope | 2027 State AZ Sunnyslope (Pictured)
A face-up five-man is one of the most skilled centers in the West coming into HS ball. He rebounds well and smartly walls up and stays straight up and down without fouling making it difficult to score on him. He is a very strong two-handed rebounder who affects the game with his size, skill and length on both ends.
