Weber brings plenty of value in the mid-range, providing counters and off-balance shotmaking to the table. The guard boasts a consistent handle going either direction, helped by a quick first step while attacking downhill. Defenses are always at a disadvantage versus Weber, given his quick footwork getting to turnaround fadeaways or fakes going into additional moves. Equally capable of rising up into off-balance mid-range jumpers, there are few things the guard cannot do off the bounce. Continuing to add strength and maintain consistency on passing reads will be areas to note for the junior guard, bright future ahead. Weber returns with Palmer following 13.2 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Highlights
Dee-Mortensen is a tall guard with a quick jumper, capable of being a valuable shotmaker for this group very soon. The guard has plenty of confidence in his abilities along the perimeter, not fazed by incoming contests. His positional size should make him a versatile defender, especially as added strength comes in. With Doherty losing out on two of their three leading rebounders, the junior will likely be tasked with improving his rebounding volume. Through the guard’s previous season with Doherty, Dee-Mortensen posted 7.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
Another helpful playmaker with Falcon, Potts will be another important decision maker for this competitive group. Effective on the defensive side, the guard brings a high motor on every possession. Potts shows excellent reaction on defense, carefully timing blocks or getting a hand into the opponents to tap the ball away. An effective on-ball defender against opposing backcourt threats, Potts has shown immense value as a high energy matchup out on the perimeter. Offensively, the guard is an active shot taker, capable of rising up into the mid-range or stepping into a three point attempt. Through the junior guard’s previous season with Falcon, he posted 11.4 points and 3 assists per game.
