Transfers are a big part of the Garden State scene and should make an impact on the state tournament, especially in Non-Public A. Here are the 2025 Non-Public A transfers to watch this season.
Keith McKnight Keith McKnight 6'5" | SG Hudson Catholic | 2025 State #200 Nation NJ , 6’4 SG Hudson Catholic
McKnight is one of the players in the 2025 class and should put it on display this winter. The Teaneck transfer has a tight handle, which he uses to blow by his defender off the bounce and finish around the basket. McKnight uses his size to see over his defender and rises up with confidence on his jumper. He pushes the pace well in transition and uses his length to get deflections on defense. McKnight is a talented guard prospect who should have a big 2023-24 season for the Hawks.
Luke Schorr Luke Schorr 6'3" | SG Union Catholic | 2025 State NJ , 6’3 SG Union Catholic
Columbia High transfer Jaden Myers Jaden Myers 6'0" | PG Word of God | 2025 State NC will make plays for the Vikings this season, but Schorr’s contributions on the perimeter will be needed. The Rumson Fair-Haven transfer has a smooth release on his jumper and can get from distance in a hurry. Schorr moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He moves his feet on the defensive end and has an underrated handle. Schorr is a sharpshooting guard prospect whose ability to torch the nets will be key to Union Catholic’s success this season.
Austin Spencer Austin Spencer 6'2" | SG St. Peter's Prep | 2025 State NJ , 6’2 SG St. Peter’s Prep
Spencer has the potential to play on and off the ball, which is a big help for the Marauders. The Bergen Catholic transfer has a good shooting stroke and sets his feet before he shoots. Spencer is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He plays good on-ball defense and is an underrated passer. Spencer is a skilled guard prospect who should have a big season for St. Peter’s Prep in 2023-24.
Jordan Ghee Jordan Ghee 6'3" | SG Don Bosco Prep | 2025 State NJ , 6’3 SG Don Bosco Prep
Ghee provides the Ironmen with more size in the backcourt, giving them one of the better backcourts in New Jersey. The DePaul Catholic transfer is at his best attacking the basket as he finishes strong around the rim and is unafraid of contact. Ghee rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure and can knock down open jumpers on the perimeter. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is a solid rebounder. Ghee also showed the ability to run the offense at times, making Don Bosco a tough team to beat in the Garden State.
Kevin Pikiell Kevin Pikiell 6'3" | SG CBA | 2025 State NJ , 6’3 SG CBA
Pikiell joins a CBA squad that has to replace two of its top four scorers and should make an impact right away. The Gill St. Bernard’s transfer has a solid handle, which he uses to get into the lane and finish around the basket. Pikiell moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He wastes little motion in his release and fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Pikiell has the potential to breakout this season as he should have the ball in his hands more this season.
