The top players will get their recognition and with that comes players who are flying under the radar. Here are my underrated players for the 2026 class part II.
Vick is a player who doesn’t try to get too flashy with the basketball and seems to always make the right play every time. He has a strong upper body that he uses to his advantage to body defenders in the paint. His shot is great and can hit longer-ranged shots the more he makes throughout a game. Vick has a soft touch around the rim and likes to use pump fakes to draw defenders in the air. On defense, it can be difficult to get around him because of how strong he is, and will more likely than not try to keep you out of the paint.
Younger has the potential to be an excellent two-way guard the more experience he gets at this level. He shows flashes of great technique on the offensive end with his finishing ability and midrange game. His three-point shot will improve to a more consistent shot down the road complimenting his whole offensive game. On defense, Younger is a pest on the perimeter never giving you an inch of room to go anywhere. He will sacrifice his body for loose balls no matter how far away they are. I feel Younger will climb the rankings as the season goes into full swing.
Randall is quick with feet and knows when to use his full speed and when to slow it down in the half-court setting. He is a scorer and comes up with creative ways to put the ball in the basket. His three-point shot is smooth with his release timing being faster than most so he can get it off over taller defenders. Randall will look to seek contact once he gets into the paint making some tough finishes around the rim. On defense, he likes to sneak up on players to poke the ball loose so he can take off on the fastbreak.
Russell can do a lot of great things on offense but where he is most effective is in his shooting ability from downtown. His teammates are always looking for him as he runs off screens. He likes to step into the shot on the fastbreak when pulling it from long range. His release is high and quick and requires little room to to get off. Russell can stay in front of quicker guards than him and likes to wrap around from behind to poke the ball loose. He’s great at guarding inbounds passes and also using his speedy instincts.
Adegbite will look to have a breakout season as last season he showed flashes of his two-way potential down the road. He has the size standing at 6’4″ along with strength and speed. He’s shown that he can knock the three-ball down with zero hesitation and that he can move down low in the post. Adegbite uses his quickness to jump the passing lanes so he can get easy fastbreak points for his team. He can play and guard multiple positions throughout a game and I feel confident he will move up in the rankings based on the flashes we’ve already seen.
