There was a lot of expectation and interest leading up to Session 1 of the Minnesota Top 250 Expo. There were a lot of talented players on display for the event. The eight players listed performances caught my attention and are worthy of recognition.
Dane has continued to prove himself as one of the top 2026 prospects in the state and his skills were on full display on Sunday. He has good size for a wing and has the strength necessary to be a factor in the paint. He is a good rebounder and can go to work in the post for scores. Danielson can stretch the floor as well, hitting shots from beyond the arc off the catch or off the dribble.
Highlights
Zy’Ierre was probably the quickest player I saw on Sunday and he was unstoppable when he got a full head of steam. He converted on numerous transition finishes and could just outrun defenders on his way to the basket. The 6’1” guard is one of the bounciest players in his class, as I saw him throw down a ridiculous poster dunk over an opponent. Stewart is also a very reliable ball handler and is in for a big senior season.

I was not very familiar with Dorar’s game coming into Sunday, but I left very impressed. He is an elite scorer and has a deep bag of ways he can create separation from a defender. He really liked getting into pull-up jumpers, being able to make one or two moves to get space for a shot. The shifty guard also showed off his touch around the rim with an impressive floater. Kuey has the ability to score in bunches when he gets hot.

I love the intensity that Dhimani plays with, always flying around the floor making plays. I believe that he makes his biggest difference on the defensive side of the ball. He is so good in trap situations and has great timing when going for steals on opposing ball handlers. He is not afraid to put his body on the line when taking charges or getting on the floor for loose balls.
I really like Reid’s game and he was constantly making plays that left me impressed on Sunday. He is a threat to scorch the defense from deep, as I saw him knock down a number of shots from beyond the arc. He could catch an outlet pass and get going in transition, where he would eventually finish it off with a layup. Weckwerth was also active without the ball in his hands, making some back cuts for easy looks around the rim.
Anthony plays the game like a true point guard and was making positive plays when the ball was in his possession. He is an exceptional ball handler and is crafty with the ways he can work himself around a defender. On one play, I saw him hit his defender with a tough in & out move where he then got downhill for a finish. He will be one of the older leaders for a young CDH team with loads of potential.
I was impressed with Finn during the spring and summer and he turned in another great performance on Sunday. The junior forward stands at 6-foot-6, but has a very unique skill set. He can make plays when using his dribble, being able to push the ball up the floor to get transition opportunities started. Norman also has good footwork in the post and can take advantage of plus matchups.
