If you just look at his scoring total from Friday night, it may not stand out, but Anthony played the role of CDH’s floor general very well to lead them to a big win. He was excellent penetrating and getting into the lane where he was constantly scanning the floor and able to find an open teammate. Had a few flashy dump off passes to his forwards at the rim, and also made the simple passes to hit his shooters on the perimeter. Handled the ball under pressure with ease, while applying constant pressure to opposing ball handlers going the opposite way. Forced a couple of tie-ups and had a big block as the shot clock was expiring to help his team pick up a stop. Finished with a game high 6 assists in the win.

Anthony plays the game like a true point guard and was making positive plays when the ball was in his possession. He is an exceptional ball handler and is crafty with the ways he can work himself around a defender. On one play, I saw him hit his defender with a tough in & out move where he then got downhill for a finish. He will be one of the older leaders for a young CDH team with loads of potential.

Anthony had an impressive second half in a big win over The Work Foundation on Saturday. He plays with great change of speed, lulling defenders to sleep and then being able to accelerate right by them to get two feet in the paint. Does a nice job playing off two feet which allows him to finish over the top with a floater, or pivot to locate passes. Was able to stop, scan the floor, and either kick it out to the perimeter or find one of his bigs with a quick bounce pass. Had a highlight play in which he split two defenders with a behind-the-back crossover, and then fakes a behind the back pass to freeze a defender before finishing at the rim.

Anthony had a big second half leading Real Phenom 2024 Ivan to a big win over The Work Foundation. He played with impressive change of speed on the ball, able to freeze his defender and then blow by to get into the paint. Could make plays as a scorer showing soft touch on his floater, but also stop to play off two feet and find one of his teammates cutting to the rim. Had an impressive bucket towards the end of the game splitting two defenders with a quick crossover and then extending to finish off the glass.

Anthony was a prospect I was not familiar with headed into the event but he really stood out to me in the minutes I saw him play. He was never the biggest player on the floor, but adds so much to the game with his different abilities. He impressed me most when he had the ball in his hands and was the main floor general for his team, as well as when he was creating shots for himself. He was very effective scoring the ball with pull-up jump shots, he would set these up with different crossovers and spins, making it difficult to predict his next move. He also had a fantastic finish at the rim in the first half, attacking the rim with no fear in transition. Knight will look to step into a much larger role at CDH this season as they lost the majority of their ball handling options from the year prior.
