Madden Padilla Madden Padilla 5'9" | SG Lawton | 2024 State OK , 5’8 Point Guard, Class of 2024, Lawton
It was another day of heavy work made look easy for the uptempo, tight handle, maestro from southwest Oklahoma. He dropped dimes, dropped bombs from beyond the arc and left his mark all over every game he played. Padilla is a producer, plain and simple.
Zayden Best Zayden Best 6'0" | CG Edmond Santa Fe | 2025 State OK , 6’0 Combo Guard, Class of 2024, Edmond Santa Fe
The uptempo, free flowing play of showcase camps favor skilled lead guards and Best took advantage of those circumstances. On Saturday, he showed off a variety of moves to gain separation for off the dribble shots, often from beyond the arc. He even handed out a few good assists to the bigs on his squad.
Merkv Torrance Merkv Torrance 6'2" | CG Harding Charter Prep | 2024 State OK , 6’0 Combo Guard, Class of 2024, Harding Charter Prep
Torrance has consistently been a “bucket getter” in previous viewings and that was no different last weekend. Shifty and crafty, the 405 guard has an unique way of always finding his way to the rim or find space in the 6-10 feet range for a good look. His three point shot was falling as well as he gears up for a big senior season.
Jayden Hopkins Jayden Hopkins 6'1" | PG Carl Albert | 2026 State OK , 6’0 Point Guard, Class of 2026, Carl Albert
Likely the top 2026 recruit in attendance, Hopkins looked the part with great athleticism and the ease he attacked the rim on offense. On the defensive end, the long arm guard has active hands and when he turned the motor on had moments of havoc by poking out sloppy dribbles and even blocking a shot at the rim. With the ease that he gets off the floor and his overall agility, Hopkins is shaping up to have a huge sophomore campaign for one of the favorites in 5A, Carl Albert.
Braylon Fortenberry, 6’2 Shooting Guard, Class of 2024, Tulsa Central
An good off the ball scorer, Fortenberry stepped into multiple good looks from the perimeter and often buried them. He also did a little bit of damage off the bounce, where he showed off his good athleticism.
Luke Friedrichsen Luke Friedrichsen 6'0" | PG Bixby | 2024 State OK , 6’0 Shooting Guard, Class of 2024 Bixby
It should be no shock with his last name that the Bixby Spartan senior is a sharpshooter. He makes smart off he ball moves and is always ready to shoot with his quick release. He even showed off some development with a couple good contested makes in the mid-range.
Reginald Williams, 5’7 Point Guard, Class of 2024 Tulsa Central
Quick and with his head on a swivel, the 918 lead guard knows how to find the pockets of space to thrive as a smaller guard. He mixed good passes while keeping his dribble alive to finding the open spots to quickly pull up off the dribble. Along with Fortenberry, Williams form an a fun foundation for Central as they look to make noise in Class 3A.
Alvin Dorsey, 6’6 Forward, Class of 2026, Westmoore
A physical player, with good movement for his bully ball style body, Dorsey is a youngster that has a good future as a space eating, physical enforcer type. It’s worth tracking how he physically develops, as right now his frame leans toward football but if he grows and continues to work on his footwork, he could be an offensive weapon on the low block at the next level.
Thomas Coffey, 6’4 Wing, Bixby (52)
It looks like the Spartans will continue to be long range bombers this year, as Coffey was another bomber from Bixby. He was a catch and shoot weapon, hitting from all along the three point like he was taking part in an “around the world” shooting drill.
