Still months away from tipping off, Garlock is currently making the rounds and visiting perspective schools.
Garlock was at Wisconsin earlier this month and will head to Iowa on Saturday:
Iowa: “I’ve been texting with one of their assistant coaches,” said Garlock. “He said he’s excited for me to be on campus. I was talking with the head coach (Fran McCaffey) a little bit in the summer. He said he’s looking forward to having me on campus. Hopefully, I’ll have a great time at the game this weekend.
Wisconsin: “It was great. Great atmosphere, first game of the season. It was really hot, but I enjoyed the whole experience.”
Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Virginia, Florida State, Purdue, and others are showing interest in Garlock this fall. Next week, he’s expecting Iowa, Virginia, Iowa State, and Purdue in to watch him play in person.
“Virginia is definitely recruiting me the hardest among those who haven’t offered me,” he said. “I think they’re coming to Middleton to watch an open gym. They said they’ll be recruiting me hard this winter and hopefully get me on a visit this fall.”
Garlock also has offers from Penn State and Virginia Tech. The state’s eighth-ranked junior, Garlock will re-evaluate his recruitment following this upcoming season.
“I feel like I’m gonna play out my junior season and keep my options open,” he explained. “I’m not gonna rush anything. After that, I’ll probably bear down on a couple schools that are more interesting to me.”
