JuJu Winston
JuJu Winston had a coming out party this weekend at DT Academy and his name made its way around the gym very quickly. The 6’7 forward originally hails from Alabama but recently made the move to play for Chuck Person at Devyne Stephens Academy. Winston is extremely versatile and really understands how to use his length as an advantage. He was scoring the ball in a variety of ways, both inside and outside. Currently holds offers from UCF, Alabama A&M, and Mercer.
Jacob Wilkins Jacob Wilkins 6’9″ | SF Grayson | 2025 State #14 Nation GA had a great weekend at DT Academy and ultimately took home MVP honors. In a camp environment full of cameras and showmanship, Wilkins put on a show. During the 5v5 portion, Wilkins was getting up and down the floor and threw down a number of eye-catching dunks in transition. He showed off some deep range on the outside shot as well. Georgia’s 2025 class remains a battle for the top spot between Wilkins, Wilson and Tiller.
Cedric Taylor Cedric Taylor 6’10” | PF Creekside Christian | 2025 State GA put together a strong showing this weekend, assertive on both ends of the floor. The 6’10 junior can stretch the floor and consistently knock down outside shots, something I didn’t see as much from him back in the early spring. He’s got a great body too and loves to dunk everything around the rim. Taylor has all the makings of a D1 forward, just hasn’t received the recognition yet.
Amir Taylor Amir Taylor 6’8″ | PF Grayson | 2025 State #198 Nation GA was one of the top prospects in the gym this weekend and his performance reflected that. Taylor was nearly automatic from three and his shooting ability has taken a huge leap in the past year or so. At Grayson, they’ll have the opportunity to space the floor this year with any combination of five being able to hit perimeter shots. Taylor currently holds 6 D1 offers.
Mekhi Ragland Mekhi Ragland 6’10” | C Berkmar | 2025 State #400 Nation GA was excellent this weekend, going head to head against some of the nation’s top 2025s and handling his business. Ragland’s body looks much improved since he got here last fall. He looks to have added another inch and slimmed down the frame a bit. Nonetheless, he’s still a huge presence inside with very nimble feet. He’s a lethal shooter from all over the floor and hit several threes during the 5v5 games. Berkmar could certainly be a team to watch this year with Ragland and Cooke running the show.
