Below is Part I in our preview of the teams and prospects who will be participating in the 2023 Competitive Edge High School Fall League.
Abington Friends School
AFS will have several changes to their lineup this fall / winter, but one thing remains the same – elusive point guard Kaydin Ford Kaydin Ford 5'10" | PG Abington Friends | 2024 State PA will be running the show. Multi-skilled, senior shooting guard Jared Shanken Jared Shanken 6'0" | SG Abington Friends School | 2024 State PA will be Ford’s backcourt mate. The addition of transfer Zamir Parker-Barnes Zamir Parker-Barnes 6'4" | CG Abington Friends | 2025 State PA (formerly of Frankford) gives AFS a legitimate three-level scoring threat on the wing. 6’4”, 200-pound forward Terron Davis Terron Davis 5'11" | CG Plymouth Whitemarsh | 2026 State PA handles the interior work. Green is a plus player at both ends of the court.
Conestoga
This Conestoga team could be trouble for opponents who do not put in the scouting the Pioneers. The backcourt of Brendan Styer Brendan Styer 6'0" | PG Conestoga | 2024 State PA and Benjamin Robinson Benjamin Robinson 6'2" | PG Conestoga | 2025 State PA are well known prospects. Those two can beat you from behind the arc or off the dribble. However, the addition of standout point guard Rowan Miller Rowan Miller 5'10" | PG Conestoga | 2026 State PA (formerly of Malvern Prep) and the emergence of 3-point ace Westin Fryberger Westin Fryberger 6'3" | SG Conestoga | 2025 PA will give ‘Stoga added scoring options and increase lineup flexibility for this fall / winter. 2026 prospect Cory Hogan is a new varsity player to watch as well.
Methacton
All-PAC and All-Area selection Alex Hermann will be the centerpiece for a Methacton group stacked with talent. Hermann is a high IQ, three level scorer who is generating a steady stream of college interest. In addition to Hermann, Methacton should receive consistent production from combo guard Sal Lemmello as well as standout 2026 Christian Matos Christian Matos 6'1" | CG Methacton | 2026 State PA . Both players are coming off impressive stretches of play during July and August. Wes Robinson is a 2026 to watch on this team.
Phoenixville
Stretch-4 prospect Deacon Baratta Deacon Baratta 6'6" | SF Phoenixville | 2025 State PA , one of summer 2023’s biggest stock risers, leads a Phoenixville squad that is primed for a big 2023-24. Along with Baratta, the Phantoms lineup boats under the radar point-forward Max Lebisky Max Lebisky 6'5" | SF Phoenixville | 2024 State PA (6’5”) as well as 6’6” power forward Aidan McClintock. Lebisky is a double-double threat who was extremely impressive at last weekend’s Never Forget Classic. Combo-guard Christian Cervino Christian Cervino 5'11" | CG Phoenixville | 2024 State PA will provide additional scoring punch on the perimeter.
Plymouth Whitemarsh
Elite floor general Jaden Colzie Jaden Colzie 6'0" | PG Plymouth Whitemarsh | 2024 State PA is now the No. 1 option for “P-Dub” and after the impressive summer he posted, it appears Colzie is more than ready for that increased role. When Colzie looks to distribute, athletic wing Jahseir Sayles Jahseir Sayles 6'6" | SF Plymouth Whitemarsh | 2024 State PA will be his primary target. Sophomore Mani Sajid Mani Sajid 6'3" | SG Plymouth Whitemarsh | 2026 State PA provides high percentage shooting from anywhere on the court. Sayles and Sajid also excel in “P-Dub’s” transition game. Jack Hayes is a stock rising 2026 we expect to be a key member of the rotation.
Pope John Paul II
PJP is another program with a new head coach this year. However, long-time assistant Kevin Moratelli was promoted to the top spot, so we expect the transition to be seamless. A smooth transition should also be helped by the fact that versatile floor general Dom DeMito Dom DeMito 5'11" | CG Pope John Paul II | 2024 State PA returns for his senior season. DeMito can score or distribute and is one the most underrated point men in the region. 2024 classmate Chase Mondillo provides a serious perimeter scoring punch. While hybrid forward Caleb Zavertnik Caleb Zavertnik 6'5" | SF Pope John Paul II | 2024 State PA produces points on the interior. Keep an eye on 2026 guard Terron Davis Terron Davis 5'11" | CG Plymouth Whitemarsh | 2026 State PA who had an outstanding summer.
Radnor
The 2023 Comp Edge Fall League marks the start of a new era in Radnor hoops. Radnor’s historically successful Class of 2023 has graduated and there is a new head coach (Tim Smallwood) at the helm. Radnor returns a good deal of talent, but that talent lacks varsity game experience. Athletic and bouncy point-forward Henry Pierce is the lone returning starter. Running with Pierce this fall will be fellow seniors Elijah Sellers Elijah Sellers 6'3" | SF Radnor | 2024 State PA , Kesler Cox, Alex McFadden, Owen Smith, and Kyle Krug. Expect junior Sawyer Smith Sawyer Smith 6'2" | CG Radnor | 2025 State PA and sophomore Zach Neiderer Zach Neiderer 6'2" | CG Radnor | 2026 State PA to make significant contributions too.
