Green has a nice rhythm and jumpy-ness to his game and uses his first-step/quickness to get into the lane quite effectively. He can shoot the ball from three, from the mid range, and he has some nice finishing touch in the lane. He also makes good decisions for his teammates in transition and in the half court, though he would do well by over-dribbling a bit less and getting off the ball quicker. Once he’s in the right situation and system at the D3 level, those skills will come. Probably a mid-level D3 guy somewhere, unless he grows more in the next year.

Earlier this week, I profiled Green and his teammates at PJP as a squad that college caches needed to watch at Philly HS Live Session II. Green made me look good this weekend, by dropping 24 points on Pocono Mountain West as well as 20 points against Riverside. In addition to scoring at all three-levels, Green played tenacious defense, rebounded, and delivered well timed dimes to teammates. In short, Green stuffed the stat book in both of PJP’s games this weekend. Still, possibly the most intriguing asset Green’s showed at Philly HS Live was his ability to play with extreme tempo without committing turnovers or forcing ill-advised shots.

After posting a standout junior season, Green was named as a 1st Team All-Pioneer Athletic Conference selection. He used the momentum from this past winter to thrive in the up-tempo style of play at the Pitt Jam Fest and again in New Jersey on Saturday. Green displayed a accurate 3-point shot with a quick trigger and NBA distance range. Green also worked as a point guard for stretches. In that role he scored off the bounce and distributed to teammates. He was especially effective as a passer in pick-n-roll action. When he handled the rock on the fast break, Green delivered well timed dimes. He was also a threat to stop and pop a transition three.
