With all of the prep and private schools dominating high school sports, it's easy to forget about the public schools where good basketball is still played. Here are four good games this weekend you'll want to tap into:

Parkland vs. Lenape (N.J.) — Sunday, 10:45 am @ Haverford College, Court 2

Parkland's 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1123885' first='Nick' last='Coval'] may be the most highly regarded prospect in this contest, but 2024s [player_tooltip player_id='1407100' first='Tye' last='Dorset'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2107698' first='Myles' last='Primas'] from Lenape will give him all he can handle. Dorset and Primas complement one another well. The former can fill it up from the perimeter with his pull-up jumper, while the latter is a hyper athlete who can finish above the rim in the half court. On the other hand, Coval is a problem with the way he can play on and off-ball. And selling out on him inevitably opens up the floor for his teammates.

Pocono Mt. West vs. William Penn (Del.) — Sunday, 9:55 am @ Haverford School, Court 3

These two programs from beyond the Philly area are expected to have success in their respective leagues. But before then, they have to put their best feet forward when they face off. West features the highly-touted 2026 combo guard, [player_tooltip player_id='1608319' first='KJ' last='Coles'], and 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1865344' first='Adrian' last='Brito'], a sleeper at forward who's gaining momentum on the recruiting trail. Coles will try to bring the aerial attack from three as Brito goes to work inside. The Delaware state runner-ups from a season ago have retooled to finish the deal this time. 2024 Emmanuel Vonhm is a key returned who will eagerly battle in the post, while fellow 2024s Jaylen Horsey and Rashid Ushery will bring some sauce to William Penn's attack with shot-making and slashing.

Lower Merion vs. Timber Creek (N.J.) — Sunday, 10:45 am @ Haverford School, Court 1

While Timber Creek lost three of their top 6 contributors from a season ago, Lower Merion is effectively replacing all of theirs. Thus, point guard play will be key for both teams. 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1943558' first='Asa' last='Wharton'] will lead the Chargers and 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='2047831' first='Langston' last='Foster'] will organize the new-look Aces. Wharton will be flanked by 2024s [player_tooltip player_id='1407096' first='Sami' last='Anderson'], their second-leading scorer from a season ago, and Ryan Nasuti. 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1850321' first='John' last='Mobley'] is the only returner from LM's rotation last year. He'll have to step up alongside Foster.

Math, Civics & Sciences vs. Camden Eastside (N.J.) — Sunday, 12:30pm @ Haverford School, Court 2

MCS and Eastside are both powered by under the radar 2024 two-way wings. Nasseem Wright could give the opposing defense fits because if they give him space, he'll shoot from deep, and if they crowd him, he'll slice his way to the cup. He'll be surrounded by 2024 post [player_tooltip player_id='2383342' first='Azeem' last='Murphy'] and a host of guards. Meanwhile, [player_tooltip player_id='1547459' first='Jahaan' last='Green'] from Eastside is a physical, high energy slasher, who can knock down catch-and-shoot threes. Newcomers 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='2107337' first='Mahdee' last='McNair'] and 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1919186' first='CJ' last='Miller'] could be key difference makers beside him.
